WHEN IRELAND AM showcased the new Xbox One, Gadget Guru Colin Baker couldn’t help but be amazed at it all.

Siri, can parse spoken word. That would rock Colin Baker's world.

KingDadXVI3795d ago

True, Xbox One will offer this down the road but it was decided at launch it was safer to use the preprogramed system they are using now for reliability. MS's equivalent to Siri code named Cortana will eventually be used on the Xbox One.

As far as 3 grand for a computer that can computer that can do the same thing as the Xbox One that would depend on what he is really talking about. To play that level of games you could probably buy one for $1500 in Canada or build one for $1000. If you wanted the full functionality of voice commands, motion detection, facial recognition, camera that sees in the visual, infrared, and ultra violet spectrums, do all the other stuff Kinect does all integrated into one computer would cost you a considerable amount of money and most do it yourself computer guys could not do it.

All that said this guy sure is excited about it.

"Aside from the phenomenal graphics, it’s a bargain, when you consider a PC of the same power would cost €3,000. Well, nearabouts."

Uhh No. You could build a more powerful machine for way less...unless I'm wrong, and I'm sorry but NOW you're wondering about games competing with Film? That's all they've been doing throughout the whole seventh generation.

On behalf of the Irish, apologies for this retarded 'journalist'.

@Insomnia -
Not low standards - it's a complete lack of knowledge on tech. Even the idiot fanboys on this site know you don't need 3000 quid to match next gen consoles with a pc

Eonjay3795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

$4100 USD on a PC would be such incredible overkill you could probably inadvertently create SkyNet and it would kill us all.

Battlefieldlover3795d ago

I seriously never thought I'd say this to you..... I agree with you.... Wow, I feel unclean all of a sudden.

solar3795d ago

consoles in general are the lowest standard. so get off yourself mate.

MRMagoo1233795d ago (Edited 3795d ago )

LMFAO gadget guru that has no idea about tech at all, 3000 euros wow lol just wow.

Why did this even get submitted let alone approved , that guy is deff not some expert if he thinks it would take 3000 euros to build a pc that can do what the xbone can do.

Benjammin253795d ago

3000? WTF? Idiots like this make me ashamed to be Irish. 700-800 euro/dollars would be a sufficient amount to build a PC more powerful than the one. Maybe even less.

Pogmathoin3794d ago

Benjamin, lived in Ireland till I was 26, and every 2, 3 years had to update my PC to keep up. 3000 euros is ridiculous, but it would still be more than 1,000 to build something decent enough to get you through at least a year without worrying. And its Ireland, nothing is cheap. Used to be able to get drunk on less than 20 euro, now, thats just 3 beers at my old local!!!

Rainbow Cotton Interview: Lead Programmer Sheds Light on the Dreamcast Remake

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "If you haven't played Rainbow Cotton before, you're not alone. A Dreamcast exclusive released only in Japan, it's not exactly a household name. Looking to change that, and bring the sixth-gen game back into the spotlight, is German studio KRITZELKRATZ 3000, which — with the backing of publisher ININ and original developer SUCCESS — has remade the 3D shoot-'em-up from the ground up. Featuring several modern quality-of-life upgrades, plus HD graphics and a brand new local co-op mode, it promises to merge the past and present when it launches digitally on consoles and PC on May 9.

Ahead of the game's release, I chatted with Andreas Scholl, technical director at KRITZELKRATZ 3000 and lead programmer for Rainbow Cotton, about what fans can expect from the remake."
