99% of PC gamers build their own rigs while casual users depend on retail shops to buy Dells and other brands

SpideySpeakz3934d ago

99%? Where you get those stats? You do know that good reasonably priced gaming rigs are sold at Cyberpowerpc, iBuypower and Alienware(sometimes), right?
These companies get thousands of consumers every month - I bought 2 of my gaming rigs from Cyberpower. I don't build my own PC because ordering all the components is a hassle, but that in no way makes me a "casual"..

Agreed id rather build my own pc then by a to expensive alienware pre built pc

kneon3934d ago

The number of people that build their PC's is a tiny portion of the overall PC market.

The typical consumer does little more than light email, web browsing and playing casual games. So for such people a tablet is adequate.

Lior3934d ago

u can buy and build ur own pc for around 40% cheaper

BitbyDeath3934d ago

I have a laptop right now but next I will probably get an ultrabook/chromebook/tablet so I can detach the screen from the keyboard allowing for even greater portability

MadLad3934d ago

PC gamers build their rigs, and the average household may be going the way of tablets and smartphones, considering the performance of newer machines and a similar price.
This really doesn't surprise me.
I am sure that the purchase of PC parts are at a high at the moment, truthfully.

AFK Journey Review: A Rewarding Gacha Experience - ESTNN

Paul G Writes: "AFK Journey is a free open-world, role-playing gacha centered on creating your own team of powerful heroes. Here, you play as the reincarnation of the great mage Merlin, solving a mystery surrounding a malignant corruption.

On its surface, AFK Journey's gorgeous visuals, strategic gameplay and dynamic characters promise a wholly fun experience for new and old players alike. Journey even has a very easy pity system that makes getting rare heroes a breeze.

That said, AFK Journey still presents the usual flaws in big gacha entries, including a lack of accessibility features, bad voice direction and predatory microtransactions."
