Top Ten Xbox 360 Exclusives

SuperPhillip Central writes, "If you've been with and have followed SuperPhillip Central for an extended period of time, you know how we have a love and hate relationship with the Xbox 360. We love all of the third-party support and Xbox Live (though we'd rather have it for free without ads), but we hate how poor Microsoft's first-party output generally is, how bad Kinect is for anything other than sports or mini-games, and we loathe how awful Red Ring of Death (we're still haunted at night by those flashing lights) was. Regardless, coming up with a list of ten worthwhile exclusives that the Xbox 360 currently possesses wasn't as difficult as we thought it would be.

Don't get us wrong. We've enjoyed our time with Microsoft's second gaming home console. This list of ten exclusives for the system is but one reason why we find ourselves still slightly enamored with the Xbox 360."

This article is correct and incorrect in some ways.

Tales of Vesperia while exclusive to the Xbox 360 in Europe/US, the game was released on the PS3 as well (Japan only).
Ninja Gaiden 2 got a PS3 release also, in the form of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (updated version).

Other than that it's spot on...

Phil323995d ago

We mentioned Tales of Vesperia is only exclusive in the West to the 360 in the description of that game.

As for Ninja Gaiden II vanilla version, that is still exclusive to the 360.

Thanks for the comment!

SOD_Delta3994d ago

@jimbobwahey Nice mention of Chromehounds. That game was an absolute blast. I would really like a sequel.

admiralvic3994d ago

A lesser version of Dead Rising was ported to the Wii, so it really isn't an exclusive either.

Also the Japanese version of ToV had additional content and stuff not featured in the Xbox version of the game, so it was also an updated version (like NG 2).

Dead Rising on Wii was a completely different game.

Oh_Yeah3994d ago (Edited 3994d ago )

Crackdown is on steam...it's not exclusive. Too Human should be on here imo.

Just by looking at this list. you realize how much superior PS3 exclusive list, it's not even funny anymore for the 360!

Phil323994d ago

This might not be a popular opinion, but I personally find the Wii's exclusives more appealing and superior to what the 360 has to offer as well.

HammadTheBeast3994d ago

Well, if it keeps them happy, it keeps them happy.

Personally, PS3 gives me a massive variety. Literally every genre.

Cyb3r3994d ago

I didnt even know that the 360 had 10 exclusives

KillrateOmega3994d ago (Edited 3994d ago )

Gears Of War 3 And Judgement Servers Are Brimming With Life Once Again

Gears of War 3 and Judgement servers have returned to their "updated" condition, adding several features, such as increased XP and more.

I currently play Gears 3 often, especially after the 60 FPS Boost. Gears of War is my favorite gaming franchise, and the Locusts are the coolest faction in history. Gears Judgment will always be a disgrace for not having the Locust in VS multiplayer.

AuraAbjure303d ago (Edited 303d ago )

GoW 3 and Judgement were the last installments before the series went woke and soulless. I'm level 50 in GoW 3 and LOVE it's multiplayer to death. It's just so crispy.

Master Chief Became More Than A Machine In 343's Halo

In Halo 4, 5, and Infinite, Master Chief became a more nuanced, human character.

In spite of the Halo series’ struggles, 343 deserves praise for adding nuance and characterisation to the ever-beating heart of Halo - The Master Chief. Playing through Infinite, it's abundantly clear that the events of the current and previous trilogies have irrevocably changed the iconic hero. He’s no longer the ‘blank slate’ that was previously presented by Bungie. He’s a fatigued, damaged and fallible protagonist, and one who is meandering through currents of grief, while reveling in his newfound agency. Giving the Chief a compelling and meaningful voice was no small feat, and 343 should be proud of that victory.

This article completely misses part of the appeal of the original iteration of character in the original game trilogy. It was the Chief and Cortana vs an entire alien collective. The blank slate Bungie displayed in their games was genius, he was an mysterious hero a wide audience could identify with because he wasn't as clearly defined as most characters.

The books added a lot of lore and backstory but most Halo players just want a fun game with exposition that doesn't get in the way of gameplay, it's why the Cortana level in Halo 3 was derided.

Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty.

BandarHub400d ago

A lot of people give the 343 version of Master Chief a lot of slack.
But Fundamentally he is still the same character, he just has a couple more dialogues. He has not changed in terms of attitude.
"Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty."
And that's what he has done at the end of the day, he did his duty. Watch his partner die, and was ready to destroy the weapon in Halo infinite....he is still the same soilder that everyone remembers

Halo Infintes one was a nice balance between both.

Chief and the halo franchise became a joke under 343

Sciurus_vulgaris400d ago

The 343i Master Chief has is based on the books. However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion.

Obscure_Observer400d ago

"However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion."

Which is awesome! I love how Master Chief become more John and less soldier.
