ScrewAttack: "Reboots are made with the idea of starting a franchise over, which implies the desire to make more in the new style. If the next entry in the refreshed Tomb Raider series is as well-designed, focused on character development, and fulfilling to play as this one, I'm on board for whatever adventure Crystal Dynamics will take gaming's number one lady on next."
Tomb Raider I, II, III Remastered is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Lara Croft is back in a classic remaster of the original PlayStation 1 hit title. Is the remaster any good though?
We've gone on many adventures with Lara Croft. With another reboot in the making, Wealth of Geeks felt it was a good time to go down the nostalgia rabbit hole and remember the best of those tomb-raiding thrills.
For me, Legend should be alot higher (along with the other two ). Shadow, I enjoyed it, but has too much has fluff, as modern games tend to do. Playing the remastered series, and apart from the controls, is very good.
I really enjoyed the first 2 games, Legend and the first of the reboots and the rest I didn’t get into so I never finished.
Completely subjective list. I really liked Underworld, I preferred Lara's design. That said I loved the horror/uncharted feel of the reboot. I think all the TR games have strengths and weaknesses. None are objectively better in every way.
Like the film or television industry, the world of gaming has seen its fair share of reboots over the years. While some of these video game reboots have had
I agree it is indeed one of the most polished games in recent memory. I think this game's own franchise history is effecting its score. Next Generation this revamped Tomb Raider direction will blend the tomb raiding of past games with the epicness of the new one.
As much as I was looking forward to this new rendition of tomb raider I've only been playing for 2 days and it's amazingly good
I didn't really pay any attention to this game until the reviews starting coming out a week before it's release. The game sounded good and I picked it up...and shockingly enough, (in my opinion) it's the best game I've played so far this year. You can cry about linearity and cinematic sequences but I'm still enjoying the hell out of video games. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Uncharted franchise and Tomb Raider seems to be in that same vein of games, there aren't a ton of games out there like that so I'm glad Tomb Raider has taken the position that it has. I'll be there day 1 to purchase the sequel as well.
