The Jewel Master videogame franchise has seen dozens of releases across a number of formats in recent years, though it’s arguably Rising Star Games’ publishing of the Nintendo DS editions that has proved to be most well received. The PC and mobile versions have undoubtedly performed well but there’s some intangible quality about the unique bond between interface and stylus that fingertip and mouse simply can’t imitate. While Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt 2 doesn’t exactly renew the magic match-3 formula, it remains a wholly enjoyable.

"Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt 2 3D is a match-three puzzle game for the 3DS. It’s the latest port of a series that started on the DS (it is itself a port of the DS game, Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt 2). Is it any good? Well, let’s take a look."
Here's the situation: there's absolutely nothing wrong with Jewel Master: Cradle of Egypt 2 3D. It doesn't do anything significant to change the formula, and it doesn't add anything particularly interesting to the table, but there's no arguing how incredibly addicting it is.
The thing with most puzzle games these days is that more often than not, that you tend to get a case of Deja Vu. Jewel Master: Cradle Of Egypt 2 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is that kind of game, and that in itself is not entirely such a bad thing. The game is your standard match three puzzle game, where you slide and swap tiles on the game-board making vertical or horizontal rows of three or more.
