CryENGINE 3.4.3 Free SDK Is Now Available

DSOGaming writes: "Crytek has announced that a new version of its CryEngine 3 free SDK is currently available. This new version comes with Dedicated Server support, revamped Launcher menu, a Sandbox Welcome screen, improvements to Terrain precision/smoothing, Maya 2013 Exporter, as well as many tweaks/fixes/cleanups to the Sandbox UI."

I have a feeling that the Unreal Engine 4 Epic keep praising on about, won't be as successful as their predecessor was.

Unless developers want to blow loads of cash, and then potentially file for bankruptcy later down the road.

For those of you who don't know; Tim Sweeney said next gen development will cost "2x" the amount it did when the PS360 first launched (their Unreal Engine 4 licence won't come cheap).

After all the studio closures over the years, developers can't release innovative AAA games and expect them to sell well because of how "pretty" they may look.

You can't view the gaming business only from a gamer's perspective. Making money is also apart of the game, after all.

Even assuming that he meant that their ENGINES would cost twice as much, that's substantially less than 1.2 million.

CE5 has a higher framerate but CE3 looks better at times...

I guess this is because CE5 is just supposed to be a Cryengine for VR and not much more
