We have zombie modes in Treyarch's Call of Duty games. They’re fun. They’re addictive. Yet, they’re the same every year.
Sure, this is the gaming universe. Anything can happen. But ponder this, in a real-life zombie apocalypse, would we all kick open our doors and start pumping the undead full of lead? Of course not. It’s waste of ammo, and it’s illogical.

This Walking Dead game is probably going to be awful, but I will likely still play it.
Love the Telltale's Walking Dead games. Love the choices, the story, and the interactions between characters. Curious if Activision is gonna go all Rambo or actually make a half way decent story out of it.
I'm with the author 100%. The reason I love TellTale's Walking Dead games, is because they aren't the typical direction you'd figure developers in this day of CoD selling 15 million copies would go with a "zombie" game. But TellTale "gets" that The Walking Dead isn't about zombies, it's about the human story and about survival at all costs.
It's been established by Rober Kirkman (creator of The Walking Dead), that the title of the series: The Walking Dead, is not referring to the zombies.....the walking dead is referring to the people. And that's a niuance that not everyone understands, and looks at the series as a Zombie story. It's a human story and that's what I'm playing with TellTale's games.
Maybe Activision "gets" it too, but IDK. A FPS revolving around the Dixon brothers.......sounds like a "zombie game" to me.
As a fan of the comics from day 1 that was sceptical to even watch the TV series but as it turns out the TV series is even better to me, if I were to imagine the absolute ULTIMATE The Walking Dead video game, it would end up being alot like Heavy Rain.....and that's EXACTLY what TellTales The Walking Dead games are, just with comic book style art.
So I don't know if I see myself buying a TWD FPS. They're taking an Atypical series like The Walking Dead and making a typical video game out of it.
My buddy didn't even know about Telltale's game, but was all excited for a first-person-shooter. Sad day.
