IGN: What does Greg think about all these PS4 rumors? Daemon gets excited and then not excited for Burnout Crash. Kristine shares thoughts on both Dragon Age II: Legacy and Fable: The Journey.
Gearbox thinks of the Wii U as a "stop-gap" console.
Plus, we answer a bunch of listener mail about comics on iPhone, Star Wars, and falling asleep at the game.
Cultured Vultures: The Burnout series has plenty of great games to play, but which one is definitively the best? We're here to rank them all.
I think the crash mode should comeback. Tryng to make the most damage was very cool.
Burnout 2 should be above 3 imo. The aftertouch takedown mechanic slowed down the gameplay too much in 3.
I love Takedown, Revenge, and Paradise. Dominator was okay, but it clearly felt like a B-tier game.
After playing those awesome games, I went back to try out part 1 and it was rough. I didn't like the controls (whereas the others felt perfect to me), the elevator music was generic and not enjoyable to listen to.
Finally the game's difficulty was extremely high. I could beat all single player races in Takedown, Revenge, Paradise, Dominator, but could not get first place in the very first race for the first Burnout game. It demands perfection and one slight mistake is all it takes to lose. I have yet to play part 2, but I'm hoping it's more like part 3 than part 1.
Burnout Takedown is my favorite racing game of all time. My wife was addicted to crash mode.
BioWare fans are abuzz today, as studio general manager, Casey Hudson, recently tipped fans off regarding Dragon Age news that will be dropping sometime soon. Fans of the popular series have been starving for some sort of confirmation that a fourth game will be coming at some point in the (hopefully) near future.
As bad as inquisition was i still look forward to the next take on the dragon age franchise
I'm terrified since the last time they brought up dragon age was that it was going to be an online Gaas game =/ As if Bioware hasn't already beaten Dragon Age to death with 2 and Inquisition.
There are lots of reasons to love a good role-playing game. The stories are immersive, the worlds are detailed, and most importantly, the player is given a range of control over how they want to play. Options range from choosing what type of fighting style you like to customizing a character with a unique look and personality.
I really like the whole morality concept as long as it affects the ending and general progression of the game. At the very least how people treat you.
As much as I loved Infamous 2 for example, morality is pretty much a non factor in which ending you get as it is based on one final decision at the end of the game. Kinda a buzz kill if you ask me.
Infamous SS did it better IMO, save for a few story scenes that are exactly the same regardless of morality. At least here however your ending is determined by your overall morality throughout the game.
The Ogre Battle franchise does it best though. Not only does morality affect everything throughout the game, but also who your allies and enemies outside of the big bad do as well. How I miss this IP.
yeah!
Oh it's real just don't expect the rumor about it coming out next year....
The PS3 was announced at E3 2005 it didn't come out untill November 2006.
Why would they release a new console without even showing it first. I've never seen a console get announced for the firstg time then released the following year.
It's possible the Wii U could be a stop gap. Then again no one expected much out of the Wii.
PS4, are you 4 real? 4 REAL!?!?
After Sony's E3 i don't think the ps4 will be out until at least 2013.
Sony have only recently made profit from the ps3 although i'm not sure if they've made back the huge initial losses....i doubt it...
I'm looking forward to next gen, but hope sony think things through and don't make a console which has / is been hard to develop for......like the ps3....
