Hell yeah well deserved, HHG will kill it on the screen definitely.

@Yes_2

Stop hating you're making yourself look bad!!!!

@Kon

You're a known troll I expected nothing less than that type of response. :P

Commander_TK4832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

Congratz. Btw, the people hating on him might wanna consider starting to believe in karma. And I'm no HHG fan, but I have to give credit where it's due.

LORD-PHOENIX4832d ago

HHG is the marmite of the gaming industry you either love him or hate him

props for this major venture, you do talk crap alot of times but you also hold it down at times aswell like getting kratos in mortal kombat.....good luck son

I_find_it_funny4832d ago

that right there, is fire son

InactiveUser4832d ago

Still carrying around that ridiculous WWE spinner belt championship?

Vegeta90004832d ago

This is why America's TV broadcasts suck. On top of the ridiculous pattern (& time) they give to commercials. America is also taking good ideas from Japan and turning them into garbage with shows like Hole in the Wall & Silent Library. Now you have even more shitty programs like the Fred movie, Big Time Rush, and apparently HHG show (as if GTTV wasn't bad enough).

FrankenLife4831d ago

He is a very genuine good person. I met him at PAX and got to spend a good while chatting him up. I wish him the best.

There's only one world and one life to live. You either make the most of it, or you don't, and HHG went from an unknown guy recording himself in his room with his cheap bed sheet background, to what he has achieved today in 2 short years.

There are a lot of haters out there, and more will continue to hate. What the haters don't realized is that THEY too have contributed to his success by giving him hits and flaming up his N4G post.

Elimin84832d ago

LOL @ "with his cheap bed sheet background,".

whateva4832d ago

they are not going to like this 1 bit lol

Nicaragua4832d ago

And your a known fanboy for HHG so your hardly the balanced unbiased voice of reason.

Your a moderator on his website and Dualshockers who you write for are firmly in bed with HHG.

This isnt anything against HHG btw, just your bullshit attempt at trying to call people out.

ABizzel14832d ago

Congrats. Stay motivated to keep pushing forward, don't settle. Settling will net you nothing in life, but the same achievements that the individuals who come here everyday and every couple of hours. NOTHING.

bnaked4832d ago

Congrats to HipHopGamer! :-)

candystop4832d ago

Congrats to this guy good job!!! All the hating I've heard over the years has really paid off. I wonder if this means no more HHG on N4G. Time to get professional HHG and keep on climbing that ladder. It's going to be interesting to see how far this guys makes it.

TheXgamerLive4832d ago

Wait...ahhhhhhh ha ha ha damn i didn't think it was april yet, but this has to be april fools day for this headline to be posted. HHG big joke to the gaming community, just a big joke. ahhh you guys, stop being so sillyyy:)

iforgotmylogin4831d ago

so ask him is he gonna give up n4g and leave the ppl behind that made him big?

imo he started here and blew up here from our negative and positives towards his hour long shows.

so lets see the next move sell out and forget or embrace n4g and make it bigger and provide a platform for the next person like your self to get a look.

and i really hope you read this comment hhg.

The first article I ever saw by HHG mentioned something about trying to get a show on t.v. if I remember correctly.

I didn't think twice about it then, but here he is. Pretty impressive to see someone stick to their guns until they succeed.

He is living the American dream i spose.

jaredhart4832d ago

yeah, good for him if he gets a show.

Yes_24832d ago

Sometimes I really fucking hate the gaming world...

Zimmerman4832d ago

I honestly can't believe the 'gaming world' has grown enough to have it's own culture.

It's kinda weird.

ElVeneno4832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

@Yes_2 Umm why? Because someone out of your culture is having success. Regardless of wether you like him or not, he DOES share a passion for gaming and journalism. He put in the work starting from nothing, regardless of how much people like you trashed him. So I think he deserves it. Congrats to him. There are too many of the same people out there. He's a breath of fresh air. He stays true to himself, you have to respect that. Your comments just go to show how immature your are.

Ares84PS34832d ago

That's exactly what the video game journalism world didn't need. It has a bad reputation as is.

silvacrest4832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

hes no worse then patcher and the gametrailers "journalist", just to name a few

i say good for him, still doing his thing even with all the hate and still succeeding

@ below, who noes what patchers official job title is, im thinking

"professional guesser"

"gaming predictor"

"random dude with no clue what hes doing"

ally123454832d ago

Patcher isn't a journalist, is he? He's an "analyst" (which basically means "lousy psychic")

Ares84PS34832d ago (Edited 4832d ago )

Well the thing is, he is the worst.

I'm sorry to say but that "ganxta ghetto" acting doesn't belong in journalism. That way of life is low and disrespectful. The way he talks is disrespectful. Learn to speak properly. I understand that this is a way of life, well sort of and this is how he is. I can accept that. But as long as he is this "ganxta crapper" he doesn't belong in the public. What kind of example will he be to younger gamers?? The worst kind. People like him should not be allowed to stain an industry that already has a bad reputation.

I'm telling you all that for as long as people like HHG will be allowed to reach such a hight, gaming journalism will just sink lower and lower.

It's not only that but all the flamebait and fuel for fanboy wars articles he and his "staff" writtes is a huge problem. His predictions are always over the top and he let's his "staff" speak their mind which unfortunately is all the time extremely biased. For example, the last time I've read anything from him (well from one of his "staff") was an "article" about how superior the 360 is compared to the PS3 and how bad the PS3 is. HHG actually let this guy publish this trash on his site. Now if they are full of bias and double standards like this than what the hell are they doing in the video game journalism world?? Don't we have tons of bias journalists already??? At least others try to hide it as much as they can.

No gents, HHG isn't good for v.g. journalism. Not in the least.

As for Patcher; he is a clown. He also should dissapear from gaming journalism all together. He has no idea what he talks about 98% of his "predictions" are wrong and any gamer can see right than and there. A 12year old gamer has a better sence of the video gaming world than Patcher.

My mind is just buffled that how people like this two are even allowed to voice their opinion on video games. They have no clue what so ever.

silvacrest4832d ago

i read your wall of text and with respect, disagree with almost everything

first, this is the internet, not prime time TV, he is free to speak how ever he wants, no one looks to him to find the "correct" way to speak (i dont even think that exists, we all speak differently after all)

the "gangsta" persona is just that, we wouldn't be commenting about his style if he was into rock or pop, be honest now...

"I'm telling you all that for as long as people like HHG will be allowed to reach such a hight, gaming journalism will just sink lower and lower"

what about sites like gametrailers, where the journalist speak clear english yet spread misinformation, opinion and bias as if it were fact, there are far more well established sites that bring little to the gaming world
perhaps you should look there first?

as for flamebait thats simple, fanboys comment on it, the site gets loads of hits, thats all that matters, HHG is not the first nor that last to use such methods

i'll stick by what i said, he is no worse then gametrailers or patcher, at least he brings a different style to gaming which no one else has

Review - A Difficult Game About Climbing (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "A Difficult Game About Climbing is obviously frustrating, and I don’t exactly think it’s a fun pasttime, but it’s exponentially more enjoyable than the horrendous Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. It’s actually beatable with enough trial and error. Its mechanics, whilst not exactly polished to the brim, work as intended, with no intentional input lag. It’s still clearly meant for Let’s Play youtubers to film themselves losing their minds over it, but it can still be a passable challenge if you’re up for the task."

Review - New Star GP (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I loved that New Star GP ended up being nothing like what I was expecting from it. I thought I was going to get a simple and straightforward love letter to Virtua Racing, only for it to be something more akin to the best F1 racing games from the mid to late 90s, with a perfect blend of accessible physics and simulation elements. New Star GP is adorably retro in its visuals and vibes, but it’s got some surprising amount of depth and an interesting career mode. A little hidden gem in the racing scene, without a doubt."
