If you’ve ever played a game like Spelunky, a side-scrolling rogue like adventure game, 99 Levels to Hell is going to look pretty familiar once you get into it. Now I don’t know what I was expecting from a game coming from a company that had only developed a small amount of iOS games and productivity apps, but it definitely could have turned out a lot worse.
SteamFirst: Creativity is a very important trait when building anything for entertainment. People want to see and do things they have not done before. It can also be an iterative process, with people fine tuning previous ideas. Sometimes, though, creativity can go out the window and still manage to land on something worthwhile. 99 Levels To Hell is one of those times.
