Predicting the Plot of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Andres from Twinfinite writes, "Courtesy of Nintendo of America, this beauty was unveiled for everyone today. This latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds seriously gave me goosebumps. Lately, I’ve just been pretty excited for it, being a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda games, but Nintendo just signed, sealed, and delivered a beautiful love letter to the fans of the series. Up until now, we have been introduced to the newest mechanics in the game, but the details of the game’s plot have been mostly kept under wraps. The latest trailer addresses the story with a fervor that just exudes the mystery and wonder that made these games so popular and memorable from the beginning. There’s only so much that the clips reveal, but I think I have an idea of what this upcoming title’s plot will be about, and, if I’m correct, it’s incredible."

According to the official zelda timeline a link to the past exists in a timeline where the hero of time was killed by gannon and the sages sealed him anyway explaining his return in a link to the past, the link in alttp is a different link from the hero of time and the link in a link between worlds is a different link and possibly decendant of that link. So its very possible that if lorule is the opposite of highrule that there is an opposite to link.

In fact it could be true that there are opposites to the three goddesses who created highrule also, and that that worlds gannon opposite killed that worlds link counterpart and in a hunger for power with the help of opposite zelda (hilda I think was said in the article) are trying to dominate highrule.

Who knows really but that was a pretty fun read

Calling this classic feels so weird to me. It's still the newest game in the old style... hope they make another one.

I would love a remake of Link to the Past, one in a similar vain to Link's Awakening.

it was an awesome game and utilized the 3D very well on the 3DS. A Link to the Past is one of my favorite Zelda games, so this one being a true sequel to that title really hit home with me.

I bought this very long ago, and it’s still in my backlog!
