"The Pokemon franchise has been a franchise that Nintendo experiments almost as much as they do with Kirby. Those adorable little monsters have been featured in so many different types of games at this point that it’s hard to pinpoint what makes a Pokemon game a Pokemon game anymore. One of the most unusual spin-offs in that franchise has you playing as Pokemon that aren’t alive, rather they’re wind-up toys that do battle with each other. Pokemon Rumble U is the third entry in that franchise and brings the inclusion of toys, similar to Skylanders, into the mix.
What You Need to Know
In Pokemon Rumble U you play as one of a set of Pokemon toys that have been inadvertently washed down a river. Your sole purpose in life at that point becomes getting back to the toy store so that you can be sold to lovely children who will probably put you in their mouths more than play with you (though this can’t be confirmed). During your trip you’ll fight many arena based battles against every Pokemon that has been in the franchise to date. You’ll also discover that some things may not be what they seem.", writes Nintendo-Okie.
Remember "toys"? Those things kids used to play with back in the day, before video games? Well Disney and Nintendo sure do. AUTOMATON's Graham Arthur reports on NFC toys, new and upcoming developments in the field, some of the issues they've faced so far, and some of the issues bound to arise. (Part 2 of 2)
Scanning amiibo for games they're not intended for produces some rather interesting results, as one fan's experiment shows with Pokémon Rumble U.
Wow I almost forgot about this game.... hmmmmm it seems we might have pokemon balls coming soon?
