I'd love to see a sequel to The Last Story, I'm close to beating the game and it's been SO GOOD, alot better than I thought it would be starting off. Even if it's not a sequel, a story made by the same crew would be awesome.

I love the Last Story for the Wii, I did not have a Wii last gen, so on my Wii U I wanted to get Xenoblade and Last Story, but Xenoblade was too hard to find for cheap, but I found a collectors edition Last Story brand new for cheap, it was the store last copy, boy was I lucky, I thought I would sell it for a pretty penny, but I cannot sell it, this is one of the best games I played in a while, I had a PS3 and I never had a game make me want to beat it the same week, since I cannot judge Xenoblade, I hope it make me feel the same way when I get it for my Wii U......The reason I heard it was so good because it was made from the creator of Final Fantasy he left Square Enix a long time ago, Kingdom heart 2 was his last game from them I think, but whatever, all I know I am glad he still make games.

Im certain Bayonetta is native 720p because the Wonderful 101 is as well. Please don't spread lies that will fuel fanboy fantasies unless you have some kind of proof. Just because one 10 year old low detail game runs 1080p doesn't mean you should assume that all Wii U games are pushing this resolution. Nintendo did state that all games at e3 where 1080p 60fps so I assume that's for bayonetta aswell, not 100percent on bayo but I know MarioKart 8, 3d Mario, donky Kong (although side scroller so no surprise) super smash bros and Wind waker are so it'd not just a teeln year old game. the hands on previews of bayo say it silky smooth and spears to be native 1080 but we'll find out when it launches.

Pretty much every game that had Mario in it was 1080p 60fps. That was stright from the mouths of the developers. Wind Waker HD was, as well.

I kind of doubt it for Bayonetta 2 as it's a lot more hectic and the screen is a lot busier, but let's wait and see.

Given the history of 3rd party 'exclusives', I wouldn't be too worried. Chances are this will be ported to the other systems after a short while.

Even the new Deus Ex Complete Edition isn't exclusive anymore.

Yeah, I love the game but knowing sega wouldn't green light a sequel I have to agree. Glad Nintendo picked it up. Hopefully Nintendos new found partnership with sega will allow Nintendo to publish the first on the wii u too for new fans to play the first game.

Just because it didn't sell on ps360 doesn't mean it won't sell on Wii U. You gotta remember, nothing sells on those systems like COD. Its realy about the only thing that sells well on 360, thats why microsuck pays them for exclusivity at launch. Do you all know that Mario Kart for wii has sold more than all versions of Halo ever released, COMBINED. Just saying. Bayonetta 2 looks awesome IMA, I'll be preordering that as soon as possible. PG came out with 3 games since Bayonetta and without Nintendo it wouldn't have existed. This is a straight up fact (as it was stated by PG), so it either stays dead or "dies" on the Wii U. Nintendo has faith in the title and it's not like PG is known for memorable (or even okay...) stories, so it's not like newcomers are going to be missing out on anything.

The mistake was making it an exclusive 360 game where it had even less public , and having a lackluster port on ps3

Bayonetta was designed too fail. Baka is right. The mistake was in designing it as a 360 exclusive a releasing a broken, unplayable port on the PS3. All the hack and slash fans are on Playstation, if anything it should have been designed as a PS3 exclusive.

The article is correct in that Nintendo's move won't be enough to save the Bayonetta franchise. Bayonetta has to buy its way onto the PS4 if it is to live to a third game. Platinum may have too borrow from a loan shark but that is the only way to save Bayonetta.

Well the thing is I just want to know why Konami didn't pick up Bayonetta 2, especially when they have such a tight relationship and were developing MG Rising at the time. Metal Gear Franchise sells a lot more than Bayonetta. That's why Konami Didn't pick it up.

At any rate at least the IP has a fighting chance now, and if it does become successful on the Wii U it may very well get a release on the other platforms eventually.

With Nintendo paying for and publishing this game I don't see them letting it be put on Sony/MS. Platinum Games already confirmed months ago that Nintendo would be the ones to allow this and The Wonderful 101 on other systems. In other words exclusive to Wii U they'll remain. I never played the first one but I've pre-ordered this one! I'm sure there will be mant Nintendo gamers happy to finally play this which will drive sales along with some Sony/MS fans who like some Nintendo franchises.

They are trying their best, i mean, a lot of people push them really hard and ask for stuff that other consoles already have, but Nintendo has always been Nintendo, and i think they will keep their true image while offering different types of experiences, i'm glad they are doing these kind of deals with other companies and trying to bring characters that people thought were already dead, example Mega Man :)

We are talking about arcade centered gaming which most of the current crop of gamers don't understand.

The industry has converted over to movie gaming, sand boxing and fps pretty much. Platformers, beat em ups/ slashers, shotemups, adventure, RPG, jrpg, puzzellers...etc are not being made now. Even if Bayonetta 2 released on PS3/4 and 360/One there would be less advertisements, potentially inferior production after the dismal sales of the first one (which had heavy marketing and general cost). there are plenty of series that jumped onto another platform. FF went from Nintendo to Sony, Kingdom Hearts has more spin off games on Nintendo consoles than it does on Sony's. I think the fan base is ripping itself apart with dumb console wars.

Bayonetta is a good game, but not that great. I borrowed it from friend few years ago, played it until the end.
Bayonetta 2 being exclusive to Wii U might generate profit, but most like it will fail.
It depends on Nintendo gamers, are they going to support it since it's exclusive? or just like multiplatform games, the sales will be low?
I don't think there're millions of Bayonetta fans, only few thousands of bayneotta fanatic fans.

I didnt play the first 1 but will be picking this up. TBH the first 1 kind of passed me by so not sure about the hype surrounding it. It did come out around the birth of my daughter so theres a fair chance it was hyped...

This time around, however Nintendo has managed to build up massive hype and controversy by securing exclusivity. I would be very surprised if this doesnt outsell Bayonetta 1 (thats the original btw not a remake for xbone)

The visuals looked fantastic from the demo and they've made no sacrifices by any means. Lots of enemies, crazy and animated backrounds, and a smooth 60fps even with the game over a year away. People hype graphics up way too much.

More horsepower will not enhance the gameplay. Even if we're talking about the crazy set-pieces, Bayonetta 2 is still stand-out next to no one. It's already doing profoundly crazy things with the battles, so much that any more would likely be disorienting to the gameplay.

I might give some credit to the argument about AI, if sophisticated AI was actually all that relevant in a hack-n-slash where your enemies don't live much longer than 5 seconds. Bayonetta 1 one had ranged enemies stick to the backround and flying ones swoop. They would try to overwhelm you in large groups and looked for openings. And they had interesting behaviors (which is more inportant than the actual intelligence in a HnS). As long as Bayonetta 2 can live up to that it's perfectly up to par as any next-gen game will be.

Would I like Bayonetta 2 to be on next-gen systems? Definitely. Does Bayonetta 2 look amazing regardless? Absolutely. Nintendo brought the franchise back from a tragic end and I can only be grateful for that.
