You completely missed his point. Uncharted 3 was released before TLoU was announced, which is why the tease made sense. Meanwhile, TLoU release date comes after E3, which is where we can all expect an announcement about the PS4's release date, which means ND can't really tease the release date with their game.

Yes I know the Newspaper on the bar and they didnt really tease it they said there was a clue or reference in U3 about Naughty dogs next game. That was before the videos were rolling out if Im not mistaken. The BBC one.

Anyway keyword is BEFORE not after since the release date would be teased in a game that will come out after an official release date is revealed, it just doesnt make sense...

I juat dont see ND going through all that trouble to make a video that was probably already finished a couple of months ago for a teaser of the PS4 at a time when Sony probably didnt even know the release date in a TRAILER, your just clinging at straws here m8...

It certainly could be a teaser for Uncharted 4, but it's difficult to imagine why ND would put that kind of information in a game that is slated to release after E3, at which point all of the PS4's heavy hitters will have been given plenty of coverage.

i think its a good idea for a Thursday, most people get there checks on Friday and have the rest of the weekend to pick it up, more so if they have direct deposit.

Most GAMES usually release on Tuesday, so that right there is odd.

Aaaand, I just Wikipedia'd PS2's release date and that was October 26th, 2000 in North America. Which was on a Thursday.

The original PlayStation was released on a Saturday, PlayStation 3 on a Friday, PSVita on a Wednesday, PSP on a Thursday.

So it honestly doesn't seem too consistent. But I'd more than put money on it being released on a Thursday if any of those previous (Wed-Sat) days mean anything.

Unless Sony is going on the whole Karma/Luck thing. I just noticed two of their most successful platforms were released on a Thursday. PS2 was their most successful console, and PSP so far has outperformed the Vita. (Of course the PS1 released on a Saturday, but that's a console, not a handheld device)

But existing PS3 owners will take it as "I'll just wait a little longer since PS3 is still getting some games and I'll wait for the next epic game to come out on PS4 when it has a larger library. Just because a date is in a game doent mean its related to anything. It could just be to give the time frame for when the game is set. We know the game is set in a modern day time period, not years in the future, without a character having to actually spell that out for us.

..an October *Global(?) release date will also set an early Christmas rush for those wanting a PS4 under the Holiday tree.

I live here in Oz which could usually mean a later release date in our part of the globe ( main reason is the conversion to our PAL signal - against more popular NTSC for the U.S.A. and others ).
Am hoping though that maybe it could still change for the same early release here.

Hard to tell, especially 8Pm, if it was 8am I'd say it could be the PS4, but why on a Thursday I would wonder than. And next ND game... maybe, but the usually annouce these games at the Spike VGAs or maybe this year at E3. But it's definately interesting and I'm sure the date is relevant indeed.

Either which way this E3 just became a must watch no matter what given the offerings by Sony and of course like any sensible person i am also curious about Micros console and if it hits enough right buttons i would purchase that as well.

I'm sure NaughtyDog knows... I mean Sony Did say they know the date! To me "Total evacuation" = Worldwide Release. Given the rumors of the Sony wanting to ship 16 million between launch and end of Fiscal year 13 its not hard to imagine.

Could this be a hint toward the PS4 version coming out? Often software releases one to two weeks ahead of hardware. But its a Thursday (the 17th of Oct) so that doesn't exactly jive with a release date for a game or console really. PS3 came out on Nov. 11th in Japan and Nov 17 in the US.

So hard to say, but... at the very least it makes for some interesting speculation.

who knows, maybe you need to come back to the game on Oct. 17th to see some crazy event in game?
