This was the first game that I owned, that wasn't passed down to me from my sister. It came with in the box with the N64 and had the rumble pack. First game I played that had a fully voiced cast and a great story. Try getting the real ending, it's a real tear jerker.

This Nintendo game is the reason Sony and Microsoft controllers rumbLe, including cell-phones .. .

I was delighted by this game in that time. Was one of the first games I played in my N64. And alongside 007, one of the bests for sure.

This is the type of game that had all my friends playing games. I can't wait until it gets released for the Wii U If Nintendo hears the fans we may see this at E3.

To celebrate, we’re going to rank the best Star Fox games in the franchise. To come up with the order, we’re mixing in a little bit of Metacritic ranking and author opinion."

Ah, videogame staple for me since Ninja Gaiden 2 on NES!

Relientk771127d ago

Just came here to make sure Uncharted 2 was on the list.

Unknown_Gamer57941126d ago

It is. There's no way a list of this type of any credibility would forget that train.

No FF VI or FF VIII Doomtrain? Bad List is bad.

Oh boy here we go! With that Mario 64 PC port out and about. I bet we get a OoT one next!!

VenomUK1369d ago (Edited 1369d ago )

I want to know the story of how the source codes are getting leaked almost 25 years after the games came out. Did an old programmer have them and sit on them all this time, or were the codes unlocked from the vaults because Nintendo is going to offer them on Nintendo Online or is using them to make remasters for the Switch?

Undoubtedly illegal PC ports will be made and that’s illegal. But I have sympathy with people who want to play some of the greatest games of the N64 generation, in fact of all time, but have no means to. Nintendo has these wonderful assets and should refresh them for a new generation.

Those codes or engines or whatever didn't worth much untill Switch raised some dust.
So now they got leaked for monez

I think a lot of effort would still be required to make ports off this source code. Still need the assets, and some sort of emulator. Not to mention the source code is programmed in assembly, and to my knowledge it would require a compiler to make anything out of it. Seems like people would just do it themselves with their own code, or use an emulated version, since it's just the algorithms that one could copy to make this into anything. I doubt this is a huge problem for Nintendo, although it's not generally something you want done, as there may indeed be code in there that you don't want out in the public for whatever reason.

Whoa, exciting times! True PC ports on the cards.

strayanalog1369d ago

I can't help but think it's tied to Ryan Hernandez in some way since he phished a Nintendo employee.

XxINFERNUSxX1368d ago (Edited 1368d ago )

Won't mean anything. People will still buy these games if Nintendo remasterd them on Switch. I'm still waiting for a Mario Sunshine remaster. I wouldn't mind to play some PC ports of them, I have SM64 PC port, but if Nintendo remastered it for Switch I would buy it.
