Highborn -- Oh, Good Comedy, Where Art Thou? | Twinfinite

You will often come across a game that really wants to be funny, throwing jokes and anecdotes all over the place. Seldom do you come across that game only to find it trying too hard and ultimately bursting into a horrific blaze of awful jokes. Still, at times it might squeeze a chuckle or two out of you. Add turn-based strategy and that’s Highborn. While this game is chock-full of constant attempts at comedy, it’s a good thing its humor is only a single aspect of the game, which is better by comparison. In its transition from mobile device to PC, the well-received Highborn received the 3D graphics treatment and kept everything else intact, for the most part. Highborn Review at CalmDownTom

"Highborn is a turn based strategy game, filled with humour and engaging gameplay, despite its “casual game” description. It pokes fun at itself throughout, and loves highlighting faults in stereotypical protagonists. Highborn Review | ComboCaster

Highborn is a turn-based strategy game with some RPG elements and stands out from the competition thanks to his sense of humor completely crazy. Highborn is like a machine gun of jokes, some more dry than others but that help us to remember throughout the game this should not be taken seriously at all. I leave however notice that some jokes are pretty bad and hurt the game more than help.

It's one of those games plus throw some less good jokes, enjoys himself, reminding the player of various clichés that although we used when we think we laughed them really well. Breaking the fourth wall enough times for your mood shows us that he does not take himself too seriously. A game recently discussed here uses the same type of humor with a slightly better results (DLC Quest), but compensates Highborn with other elements of the game.

Graphically Highborn looks a lot like Warcraft III, perhaps with better graphics of course. There is a strong inspiration of the design but Blizzard has enough elements that differentiate. What kind of fantasy is also quite similar to the Warcraft universe, with many similar creatures.
