Capcom announces Cross-Media Project Gaist Crusher

Capcom has announced that they will be launching a brand new I.P. in the form of Gaist Crusher on 3DS. Apparently it’s a “Custom Armour Action” focusing on transformations, armour and item collection.

Capcom is targeting elementary school boys on this one, with the project set to span manga, anime, games and toys, not unlike Square Enix’s Gyrozetter or Comcept’s KAIO: King of Pirates. Supposedly the game will draw on two of Capcom’s strengths: Their expertise on children’s games which they got from making the Mega Man games, and their experience on multiplayer from Monster Hunter.

SAINT SEIYA!

Still waiting for a new megaman game (Not that Xover crap) before even thinking of buying a (new) capcom game. It looks interesting enough though.

Talk about a cash grab. Anime, manga, games, and toys? It doesnt even seem unique enough to warrant this treatment.

Because it sold bad in japan.

As much as I hate Ex Troopers using most of the MML3 stuff, it is a pretty fun game (it mostly plays like a Megaman legends game). I liked how CoA bragged about the game and how their new IPs should be just like it because it is fresh, and then it sells bad so they sweep it under the rug and don't localize it.

It is like a double kick in the balls. MML3 gets canned, and the game they turned it into isn't coming to America.
