Ashraf Ismail, game director for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, took a brief break from bringing the early 18th Century islands of the Caribbean to life to talk about how Ubisoft is blending real pirates and history with its latest fictional tale of the battle between the Assassins and Templars in this exclusive interview.

This game sounds like it will bring something fresh to the franchise.

After all that hype behind ACIII....

Should be awesome...but it's too soon to call it IV.

It's a new character. If it was Connor again it would have been an unnumbered game like AC:B or AC:R.

Real pirates of the Caribbean? So poor animatronics and a slow boat ride, hell yeah!!

Lol really this would sounds great for a new ip but I wish they kept Connor a little longer. It's the least the can do for making us suffer with ezio for so long

I will agree that you mostly see the cartoon like interpretation of pirates. Rarely, you see an actual attempt at realistic pirates. Should be interesting to see what other information is released overtime.
