GTA3 - It was initially a PS2 exclusive incase you wondered why it was there.

I agree that GTA3 was a HUGE step in the gaming industry. The list is fair but I don't think Singstar and Manhunt bringed much... Also, no FFX ? Really ?

Oh, I have to disagree with you on Singstar. That game was huge in Europe and along with Buzz, helped cement the PS2 as a casual console in that territory. I'm with you on Manhunt though. It may well have added notoriety to the PS2, but little else.

In all honesty, I don't think it was any particular game on the PS2 that made it the success it was. I think it was the 'promise' that the PS1 gave that made it an inevitable buy for console enthusiasts. And the one franchise that stood out for me on the PS1 and I believe encouraged people to move to PS2 was Tombraider. We all know that the PS2 version was awful, but those plastered thumbs posters, which, until this day, are the best representation of what it means to be a gamer, and that menu music was so compelling, the idea of revisiting that franchise on the PS2 was too compelling to pass up.

This is what I believe Sony are trying to achieve with Uncharted, Infamous and Killzone. Of course the industry is far more diverse now and other console manufacturers have had huge success, so whether it will work as well as Tombraider did is questionable.

OMG Prince of Persia Sands of Time. Oh how I miss you. I wish they would go back to the old formula and the old look of Prince of Persia. I tried playing the second game but I just can't. It's way too different and I loved the first POP game too much to want such a huge change.

Prince of persia 2008, feels very similar to SoT, hence the character interaction, atmosphere, and story wise, unlike warrior within, which i liked but felt wierd.

TimeSplitters 2 is one of the best shooters of last generation, an amazing game. Really hope they make TimeSplitters 4

God of War: How Atreus Could Become Just As Cool As Kratos

Might be in a minority here but I didn't enjoy any of the sections playing as Atreus or having companions at all. If I had my way it'd be Kratos on his lonesome from start to finish. Straightforward action gameplay without the endless boring chatter.
