Hitman: Absolution Patch Coming On 12/10

A few days after release, many players reported a glitch for Hitman: Absolution. Reportedly which caused the following issues:

Random freezing during the game, forcing players to reboot their systems.
Save files were also getting corrupted, without a way to recover these files.

Now it looks like developer IO Interactive has pinpointed the cause of the crashes and a patch is coming to address this issue on the console versions.

When is the disguise patch coming.

I've put this game down to play Farcry but Im hoping that patch is here by the time I pick it up again.

i dont really see anything wrong with the disguises? it just makes the game difficult to play cause the ai isnt stupid. i always love challenges expeciouly wen it comes to games like these

Bathyj4152d ago

Yeah, but its just a bit silly that a cop knows every cop, a janitor knows every janitor. Kind of defeats the purpose of the disguise. Youre often better off without one.

Yah but if your goin in to a house that has a gang in it they'd know Wat theyre friends look like. But there's a part wen ur wearin a mask n I don't understand how they know it's u?

What about issue with Cinematic Point Shooting getting you detected, while with it turned off, you don't.

I mean, you obviously get detected either way, just that with CPS shots will be fired from NPC's (if there are 4 or more armed NPC's), resulting in alerting guards that are near you, but not in sight, but without it you cleanly kill them all, no shots fired by NPC's.

Please give some attention to this thread, so that IO fixes it - http://forums.eidosgames.co...

There is also video proof that this issue was not present in beta version demo's, but in the final game it is. This issue really ruins point shooting, please support, I want this to be fixed...

MAJOR disguise system design flaw (logic):

To build up instinct, one must be in danger or make kills.

To get best score, one must be perfectly silent and unnoticed.

To slip past people that are of the same role as the disguise you took, you must use instinct to discourage them from noticing who you are.

So....

Violence = Instinct = Silence?

=/

Not quite true, your logic is actually flawed. Not trying to be mean by the way. But you can also gain Instinct by "hiding in plain sight" and by finding different outfits to wear that are laying around instead of hurting someone to get it. So no, you don't have to commit violence to be silent or to get Instinct.

Just to show you I wasn't trying to be mean about it I voted you for another bubble.

well if you enjoyed playing games youd care more about the game play than getting the highest score? on a single player campain game..

But instict you use to walk past someone? right. If your sneaking around you dont even have to use it that much. Pluss you get instict from walkin past people with out getting detected.
its like any stealthy game?? exept you have "instict" to help you

if you wanna get good at games like that play the metal gear series or even earlier hitman.

Funny thing is, I do enjoy the gameplay instead of the score. I actually prefer using the silverballers and any bladed weapon to kill every single armed individual in every level.

I was simply parroting a common opinion across the internet right now regarding complaints about the disguise system.

'twas just a test... ;)

Yukicore4151d ago

@Incipio I prefer to kill only the guards in my way, hide the bodies and continue on, killing as less as possible, although often I just want to kill someone for no reason, instead of sneaking past, if it won't alert any other NPC's. And point shooting is brilliant, if you don't use Cinematic PS, as it makes 47 take long pauses after each kill, allowing NPC's to draw & fire their weapon, alerting other NPC's, but I would prefer the cinematic experience, if only but for that issue, please support this thread, to make IO notice it. http://forums.eidosgames.co...

How IO turned Hitman around, from Absolution to World of Assassination

When Hitman 3 recently changed its name to Hitman World of Assassination, fans had no idea how meaningful the moment was. On the outside it looked like a simple thing: Hitman 3 would now be known by this name and include levels from Hitman 2 and 3 - the trilogy would all be in one place. But on the inside, at IO Interactive, much more was going on.

You mean destroyed it with this tethered single-player campaign BS... And only the first few levels of the third modern game were on the disc! I'll never support this crap at any price-point! They've lost me as a customer.

Hitman is, and has been, a remarkable series developed by some of the best. Some are better than others, but every Hitman is challenging and fun.

Sure, there have been some stumbles and fumbles, but always in pursuit of the perfect Hitman game. The most recent trilogy is a masterclass in level design.
