NWR: If you browse the eShop today, one type of game can be found everywhere: puzzle games. This sea of puzzlers comes complete with some great and terrible titles. A lack of interesting gameplay pushes 3D MahJongg to the back of the pack while its addictive nature pulls it forward.
Releasing this week in the Nintendo Wii U eShop is NES Remix 2 and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 (Virtual Console) for €9.99 (£8.99) and €6.99 (£6.29) respectively. As for the Nintendo 3DS eShop, Sayonara Umihara Kawase from Agatsuma, Bit Boy!! Arcade from Bplus, Sea Battle (DSiWare) from Teyon will be available for €24.99 (£19.99), €7.99 (£7.19), and €1.99 (£1.79) respectively.
"Some would say Mahjong Solitaire is a less popular form of simple entertainment in Western society than that of other card games. The grouping aspect isn't radically different from Memory and a couple Solitaire rules, so I'm not completely sure why that is. But whatever reason is mainly responsible for there not being too many digital Mahjong collections out there, there is some pride in being the first to attempt something readily doable on a platform, and that is what 3D MahJongg is.
