The Brain Candy development team reported on Tuesday availability issues with their new online squad tactics game, Fray. Fingers point to their database provider who supposedly short changed resources. As a result, gamers are reporting everything from sessions all of a sudden dropping off to not even being able to log in.
Brain Candy has relaunched their debut title Fray on Steam today. The original version was plagued with issues, but it was released out of necessity not because of want. Thankfully, the company has created a Reloaded Edition which features increased server stability, RAM optimization, improved graphics and sound effects, and many more fixes.
Ahead of the release of a major 'Fray: Reloaded' patch, Brain Candy tells IncGamers' Peter Parrish that financial pressures led to the botched release.
MyGaming's Jeremy Proome writes: "2012 has been a surprisingly good year in terms of game quality. While each year always has it’s big blockbusters that rack up the 90-and-above ratings, there always seems to be some yings to mix up those yangs."
