Risen 2: Dark Waters – Review - BrashGames

BrashGames:

It would be very easy for me to berate Risen 2 for the things it doesn’t get right. To drag it through the dirt because it can’t match the quality or production values of the top tier RPG’s currently dominating the genre. Easy, but totally unfair. Built by a small development team on a modest budget, Piranha Bytes have at lease succeeded in one area that many fail to prioritise, they’ve created a game with an undeniable charm. It’s something that works well in it’s favour, offering a much needed distraction from the numerous small cracks and irritable flaws that hide beneath, ready to justify a critical mauling. (PC, PS3, Risen 2: Dark Waters, Xbox 360) 7/10
