What Games Do You Feel You Have Completely Mastered?

Gaming Steve writes, "Everyone has a few games that they feel they are simply 'the best' at -- those games which for some reason 'spoke to you' and that you were compelled to completely own at every level possible. Games which weren't difficult even at their hardest levels, games in which you felt you needed to augment the difficulty level with your own set of rules and challenges.

What games do you feel you have completely mastered?" (Arcade, Culture, GameCube, Mobile, Nintendo DS, PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360)

But yeah bro, for me it's anything Gran Turismo, but I must say I was a tad *fuk yeah great* on Crimson Skies too.

To my heart's content? Resident Evil 2, almost got S rank but I did A rank in 1:42 so we could get the infinite rocket launcher. I think Comix Zone for Genesis is the game where I truly kicked its ass, beat it in 22 mins without using any healing items.

I don't think I could possibly do any more in Xenogears, or Chronotrigger but I'm not about to attempt speed runs.

Played the hell out of Vagrant Story and was on my way to making an ultimate weapon from the Holy Win blades in Iron Maiden B2. Got one blade out of four then went back a few days later. After 2 hours of kicking the same guy's ass (PiP TV is awesome), I got the second blade, then I got greedy and went back and he killed me in one hit. I was like "ok screw that" and gave up my quest for the ultimate weapon.

TheHater  +   2529d ago
that this user said. I play all type of games, and is good at all of them. Well, I am actually not that good in 3D fighting games like Tekken and Virtual Fighter. But 2D fighter and SC, I am pretty good.
But I feel like I have almost master all type of JRPG's.

Halo 2

kingnick  +   2529d ago
Normally play shooters on the highest difficulty when playing campaign, other genres I tend to prefer normal for the first play through.

As I rarely pass a game nowadays due to time constraints and a general lack of interest/attention in games that are the same old with a new coat of paint.

Double Dragon II for the NES...went through the entire game before without getting punched once, albeit on the easiest setting...and on the easiest setting you do not fight the true final boss, just that shape shifter version of yourself...but could regularly beat it on hard without dying at all...
games4fun  +   2529d ago
most recently?
drakes fortune beat the game on crushing

Zelda: A Link to the Past, 007: Goldeneye, Final Fantasy 7 and most of all Diablo 2
I have beaten a Zelda more times than any one person should, and 007 well between me and my freinds I was unstoppable. With FF7 I have litteraly gotten and leveled everthing up in that game. I even got the Infamous Chocobo's Rage Enemy skill. Its near immpossible to get. And with Diablo 2, I own at all Phases of that game Loot, PVP, and Gear

There isnt really a way to be the "best" at Final Fantasy, but in every FF i make sure i have 100% of the game completed.
Relcom  +   2529d ago
Even X-2?
If you did you deserve a medal. That game was a big bucket of yuck from start to finish. Confession though i played and beat it, but couldn't wait til it was over.

Good question
Funny it's an obvious question I never really gave much thought to.

Here's the pathetic, measly list I can muster on the fly:

-Outrun (Arcade & Sega Master System)
-Thunderblade (Genesis)
-Sega Gran Prix (Game Gear)
-Hang-On (Master System)
-Wonder Boy (Master System)
-Alex Kidd & The Lost Stars (Master System) - Don't Ask
-WWF Superstars (Arcade) - Randy Savage & Big Boss Man duo were unstoppable!!!
-Space Invaders (LCD handheld)
-After Burner (Master System)
-Shinobi (Master System) - Friggin' last boss is a b*tch
-Test Drive II (C-64 & PC) - crippled four-colour CGA graphics...eeeugh!!
-World Gran Prix (C-64)
-Contra (NES) - OK, a certain: 'U-U-D-D-L-R-L-R-B-A-Start' may have contributed ;)
-Black Belt (Master System)

...OMFG!!!...I just realized that I'm a closet Sega fanboy and didn't even know it!

And old. :(

OMG!...Game & Watch!!!

Man, I spent many a days salivating at that store window display, just fantasizing and staring at those things, wondering how I could convince my mom to fork over a massive...<GULP!>... CN$20, so I could live the dream of owning one of those marvels of technology.

Unfortunately, all my persistent begging and whining was to no avail <SIGH!>. But I started forgetting about them once those uber-cool portable Pac-man/Galaga/Donkey Kong/Galaxian mini-mini-arcade machines came around...

Then the annoying whining and begging began all over again.
