Diablo 3 comes with usual PC settings for the graphics, i.e. texture quality, shadows, physics and objects. German games magazine PC Games has the interactive graphics comparison. Check it after the jump!
Consoleitis, thats why this happens; it was designed to be on them from the start of development; pc game nerfed again. its actually coming to consoles end year noob.
wth? hows it being nerfed when its being developed exclusively for the PC? blizzard are never known for high end graphics anyway.
I think he's talking about the whole package (graphics, gameplay, hotkeyable skills, etc.). Graphic-wise, it looks good from an art direction standpoint and has a lot of detail in the world at different times, but it won't be really pushing any PCs to their limits unless they're more than 5 years old. I do agree that Blizzard really hasn't been about current, high-end graphics.
I suppose WoW was designed for consoles graphics wise then too? Guild Wars 1 with its limited skills at a time system, was that on consoles? Blizzard are sensible and want as many people playing there game as possible, having it run on almost any system from the last 3 years makes good business sense.
Very much like Valve, bottom line is they are smart and want maximum audience, opposite end of the scale would be Crytek and Crysis 1, uber looking game, nobody could run it on max at decent frame rate on release day.
When has any Blizzard game pushed hardware?
Diablo 3 is designed to look like a work of art no matter what settings its set at :)
Don't wanna criticize Blizzard's masterpiece but this game looks already aged for being into making for so many years!
looks better than any console game ever made at 1080p, 60 frames and max settings/AA perfect, crisp, smooth consoles are last gen
Yeah sure it does lol not what i heard. So much hype for this haha (goes back to plying star hawk and uc3).
not sure is srs or just mad its not on ps3
Diablo II looked dated when that was released too. Blizzard have always made their games this way. Serviceable visuals, addictive gameplay. Diablo III is no slouch though. Looks decent for what it is. I'm just disappointed that they've foregone that ominous gothic feel and music from the first two titles in favour of a WOW styled EMULATION of Diablo with a bombastic score that leaves no real impression.
Ive played 20 plus hours so far and a lot of the music is the same as II.. It is definitely ominous and gothic. the classic screeching noise is there still. like from the movie insidious.
