In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Cliffy B insisted that Japanese games cannot ignore multiplayer. Although his points are understandable, here are five reasons why multiplayer doesn't belong in Kingdom Hearts III.
Lol, multiplayer in a Kingdom Hearts? No... Just no... Unless they do it like Birth By Sleep, with an arena for battling and stuff.
Was fun in BBS. Cause it was the same as SP, but with two other real players instead of NPCs.
it could work, i would love to play others on psn.
1 and only reason, YOU DONT NEED MP IN EVERY GAME! Geez....what happen to the single player experience these days? Stop wasting time with multiplayer in area's it isn't needed....8 out of 10 of the tacked on multiplayer environments die within a year anyways.
So happy everyone is agreeing with me. Thanks for the read!
Jesus Christ, is this what the world of gaming is evolving into? Multiplayer in predominately sp JRPGs.. no.. HELLL NO! No further discussion needed.
Kingdom Hearts is one of those games that don't need multiplayer to be better. Kingdom Hearts should just focus on singleplayer and maybe a possible Co-op but i don't think it's necesarry.
I expect all of you to rally with me if KHIII ends up with a multiplayer component. We'll all fly to Japan show 'em who's boss!
Actually, co-op for the SP mode wouldn't be all that bad, to be honest. Don't be anti-social. Enjoy playing with friends some times. I don't see any reason for competitive mp though. But yes to co-op, if done well. If you don't like co-op, than don't play that part of the game. Simple solution.
I was in elementary when the first two KH games came out. I am now in college. I hope I will not be 50 by the time KH3 releases. Don't see how they would do that to the fanbase. Like waiting on Detox to release
Im more worried about going multiplat.
I have written a counter argument to this article. I'm waiting for it to be approved.
