Another supreme victory for the Nintendo Brand.

The Nintendo 3DS entertainment system has done an amazing job outselling all competing platforms in combined unit sales.

The Nintendo 3DS entertainment system went on record to rise an astonishing %31 for the week. Joining in on the Nintendo action was the Nintendo Wii entertainment system following up with a massive %64 increase over the week.

On the software side of things the Nintendo brand proves to be as dominant as ever. Landing 8 seats out of 10 on the charts above, an amazingly well played achievement unlocked for Nintendo software. Proving to the world yet again that critically acclaimed AAA quality Nintendo exclusives titles, and competitive business and pricing are what is needed to lead the industry today.

A very good time to be a Nintendo Elite gamer. Especially if you live in Japan.

Rated E For Everyone

Harm to the industry financially? I don't think so.(at least not Nintendo...)
Region locking is crap, though...-_-;

The thing is, despite the gba and ds, Nintendo is not really well known for region free gaming like Sony is. This really won't affect a large number of people.

It has affected me, as I bought another 3ds just to play monhan (and other games down the line, but for now mon hun and demo off the eshop). That money could have been spent on a crapton of software instead. ^_^;

Japan is such a small country why do people keep treating it as though its a whole planet or something??

Looking at sales in Japan alone is pointless, thats like looking at the UK only sales its pointless.
silvacrest  +   1236d ago
since the UK and japan are usually regarded as the second and third biggest market for games, the US really is the world for you, isn't it?
dcbronco  +   1236d ago
Yeah, they are small. 130 million people is nothing. And the third largest economy in the world. Pfft. Who cares.
