Why you fail, The Old Republic?

MasonicGamer.com: Doubts and uncertainty spread rapidly after the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic. They have captured the place as one of the most successful MMO launches of this generation, but as they say… “pride goeth before the fall”. With the recent loss of 400,000 subscribers, it also takes first place for the biggest loss in MMO-history within a few months after its launch. The cause of this is currently unknown, but I’m only here to give you a possible hint. Let’s check it out and let me know if you feel the same way.

The Old Republic’s journey starts as so many. People got a hint at the game, maybe some rumors of what it would have to offer here and there. We finally got closer to an ‘official’ announcement. This was in the form of a CGI-trailer. Most of this took place back in 2009. Everyone who had some form of love for RPG’s and the Star Wars universe was immediately stoked for this idea, including myself....

SWTOR is barely 6 months old as I write this. This whole article is fail. He bring up stuff like unbalanced PvP, WoW has been out for 7 years, and it's PvP is STILL unbalanced.

PvP can never be truly balanced. Cel shaded graphics? LOL, I upgraded to a GTX 580, and the graphics look nothing like cel shaded. Go upgrade your shitty ass computer. It took Blizzard years to implement the features it has in it's game, why would TOR or any MMO be any different?

If he wants to talk about bugs, he should go play Age of Conan and get back with me about his opinion on that game. He comes off as a SW:Galaxies fan, and as much as I love Star Wars, that game was shitty. I played for 14 days free, and never played again.

This whole article is a failed troll attempt at a game still in it's infancy, which like wine, will only get better with age.

It may turn to wine, or become vinegar.....

I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.

The updates felt flimsy to me also. Stopped playing in 2021.

This game got a huge update last year didn't it with more content?

PapaBop392d ago

They promoted it as an expansion yet offered like 3-4 hours of content. The game is amazing and easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made but content drops are so few and far between.
