It seems that THQs and Guillermo Del Toro Horror-Game 'inSANE' has been canceled, according to the latest release list from THQ.
This game was announced last E3 for a release of 3 titles starting in 2013. I wasn't even tracking this on my radar because it's release was so far away. Was curious though since Del Toro is directing it.
I believe it was actually announced at the VGA's... of 2010!
@Kran Or yeah maybe that was it. Still I like the man who is the brains behind this but it was strange for him to announce a project not yet started and not ready to release until probably next generation.
Thq you morons with your udraw i hope the guy that thought that it would sell on ps3 and 360 got hung from the highest tree or burried with all the udraw's.
Dude not nice.
Thats what happens when you sell out to casual losers.
Meh. We kinda know nothing about it anyway so it aint a massive loss i suppose.
We knew that it was in collaboration with Guillermo del Toro, that alone filled me with intrigue...
Curious decision by THQ if true. inSane could have been a promising project under Del Toro. Hopefully it's still being made.
That's stupid, that'd of sold well.
I have no doubt that this one was considered of being cancelled.
Thats lovely. They cancelled the only chance of bringing back the survival horror genre with a real "scary" game. No, dead space is not scary.
is the only game that is scary [TO ME]
I'd say Dead Space 1 is quite scary but the second one is more like an action game with all the cinematic scenes and hollywood themes going on. The first one was like Alien while the second game is more like the recent reboot of The Thing.
actully i think a better comparison would be dead space 2 is more like aliens with the action and big set pieces
Probably been renamed or something, and/or being pushed to next gen. Probably going to re-reveal the game soon. I doubt that THQ would cancel the game, it is meant to be a new franchise.
It was supposed to be a trilogy of games and inSane was supposed to come out next year. Man screw thq I hope some company buys them out.
Lol. Their title is in the same font as infamous except cheaper looking.
Sad news for me. Del Toro is one of my all time favorite movie producers. They keep turning horror games into pure action in order to reach to a wider audience these days. Del Toro could write a scenario in which the aspect of fear is not only given by a spooky scenery but by pyschological horror as well. It's a loss for gaming industry, to be honest.
Del Toro is a busy man. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't phased by this. I'd prefer he be working on Hellboy 3 anyways.
