TVGB: "EA once had goals to bring back Syndicate as a third-person action title, the resume of one Steve Dyck reveals."
interesting. Cant really see it as one though.
It also could have been an isometric tactical game. But that would be crazy!
You win the thread.
I really don' t see why this industry can' t just allow us to choose how to play a game. It' s that simple: make a FPS with OPTIONAL third person view. Or the contrary. Everyone one would be happy, also it could be very interesting playng the same game in both modes because of the possible differencies in the gameplay. It would be somewhat innovative and could open some room for new ideas, most of the shooters today seems too much "always the same stuff".
Yeah, I know what you mean, the Serious Sam game allowed you to do this as an option and UE powered games used to allow you to change to third person via cheats in command boxes. I don't see what the problem would be, perhaps it would be the scale of the characters POV compared to the world.
Syndicate SHOULD have been a third-person action title. But watering down for "mass appeal" is the thing to do this gen, so no one is surprised it happened nor that it got blasted as mediocre filler.
Until I read the title of this article I had forgotten about this hot ghetto mess. Good riddance too! This game was stinkier than a smashed bag of @ssholes.
Uh, no. It wasn't THAT bad.
Youre right, it was worse.
