Eurogamer: Preview of gameplay from the upcoming Resistance game on Playstation VITA.
Amazing, I'm buying this the first millisecond its available. I can't flipping believe the quality. I'm so excited for e3 and previews for new vita games
While I'm impressed on everything I have seen on it, I'm worried about the campaign. I hope it's just not a poorly put together story just to shoot things. Either way, day one purchase!
Game looks solid, I just hate how the Bullseye sounds. It sounds like a paint ball gun now, I don't like it. I miss the energy sounds it had from 1 and 2, in 3 they made it sound like a standard assault rifle, and this it's just weird.
They changed that? Wow. That is weird. O.O
What storyline does this follow? Is this a continuation of previous entries?
Agreed. Also Its amazing how better a game can look when they actually bring someone that knows how to play it. Props to the guy whos playing he shows the game at its finest. Theres some gameplay on Youtube I think from Gamespot that is so dreadful. I was put off by it and so were many other people but the other gameplay Ive seen looks amazing. For a handheld and a Resistance game which is a series that isnt famous for its graphics this looks great. Vita is looking very promising if this is the quality of games a couple of months into its life cycle.
Yeah, one wierd thing some people have done when playing it is take their whole right hand off the vita to use the touch screen, when its far easier to use your thumb. The touch screen controls really aren't that bad, buttons would be better of course, but you can get used to them. Looking forward mainly to this and gravity rush when I get a Vita.
I hope this has gyro aiming support.
This is great new! I love the resistance franchise (all 3 with a slight edge to R2). Day one pick up for me.
looks okay, but the sound from the guns is awful. I will buy it regardless
The sound is messed up in his video how could not notice that? The PS Vita doesn't sound like that.
The touchscreen parts will ruin this game.
Why did they change the Bullseye sound?
Maybe a preview version? All guns sound the same...looks (sounds) like a placeholder.
They said they changed it a while back, but I haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully it will be in the retail version.
whew, from the trailer i just saw from playstation blog the framerate was lacking. glad to see this game runs great.
ugh... hate the frequent use of the touchscreen. other than that it looks pretty sweet. Will definitely pick this one up.
Every gameplay vid we've seen from this game shows abysmal level design straight out of 2004.
this and gravity rush are on my day one purchase list
The fact that the invasion is happening and you can see civilians survive unlike the way resistance 3 opens with 90% of humans gone, this is just awesome!!! The story will be great especially because its penned by the writer of the 2 Resistance Novels. :-) Looks like Nihilistic May be worthy of inheriting the Resistance IP!!!
There's a chance that because it's being recorded via a camera rather than direct source that it's making the sounds worse. Don't get me wrong they could just be crap both ways, i'll still by the game though. Sounds not enough to put me off :D
looks great, who wants to bet reviewers will compare this to console shooters and not portable shooters ( as if there are some to compare this to on portables). I expect really stupid reviews
Yeah people seem to misinterpret the Vita so much. When Sony said console "like" experience. They didn't mean with the same graphics and everything fancy the home consoles games have. I'll be buying this come May 29th and will judge it myself. I can't wait to try it, the first true FPS on a portable.
Love how the bodies just disappear out of thin air almost instantly upon death. Also love the lack of ragdoll animations that were present in Resistance: Retribution for the significantly less powerful psp.
