Gematsu: "Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, Comcept, and Marvelous AQL have not yet decided upon whether they will localize their new PlayStation Vita action fantasy title Soul Sacrifice, according to Comcept boss Keiji Inafune."
With SCE Japan assisting in development of course it will be Localized.
SCE Japan co-developed Demon's Souls as well as published it and we all know how that went down. That said, I am sure Sony are not going to skip out on publishing their own games from Japan from now on.
FYI the japanese website is available to view in english already: http://www.jp.playstation.c... That makes it seem more likely this will be localized, which is awesome.
this game has to be localized, it looks too damn awesome. i mean everything about this game seems so cool and badass that i can't see this not heading overseas i just can't. my heart will be broken if it doesn't.
to be honest it doesn't need to be localized but it would be nice if was though. that title looks a very niche title and honestly could it see it doing well here. over here in the west everything is SHOOT, SHOOT, SHOOT.
the game is very goooooooooooood
They should localize it here because people need another reason to get a Vita and the more the better. Vita is truly an excellent handheld but it's sad to see it not doing as well as the 3DS when it was priced at 250€. XperiaRat
I would like a PS3 version, this game looks sooo interesting and I am not fond of handheld gaming, every time I bought a handheld console, I found myself not using it to sufficiency ; ; I would buy a Vita but I think I would not use it very much, sadly this is a limit of mine as gamer.
beautiful, really interesting
are they really wondering whether it'll work or not? just localize this unique game, vita needs more games like soul sacrifice and gravity daze!
Sony would not make the same mistake with Demon's Souls as a potential gem was under their wraps for 2 YEARS before it was localized. Had the situation be different we wouldn't see the cancellations of serves on Atlus. Heck, it would've probably sold a lot more since there was almost no competition back then. The fact that they're willing to localize Gravity Rush is already a bold step forward to SONY. They are keeping their ears close to the ground and is aware what games PS3/Vita owners are willing to go for.
I'm sure it will release over there in English and the mass amount of people importing it will prompt them to release over seas.
They need to localize more vita games, like Ragnarok and any other japanese game that looks good
Am I the only one to see Inafune being kind of hypocritical here? Wasn't he the one criticising Japanese game companies for not thinking more western? That said, hopefully they'll being it over. I bought a Vita on launch day and I still only have Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. I'm wanting Gravity Rush, but that's not out for another month. Let's get some games on this bad boy! :)
