Xbigy Games' Kamran Draeger writes: "Today Ubisoft released the Debut gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed III and while the animations are fluid an fun as ever, it's good they mentioned that we're looking at the pre-alpha build."
Something the trailer doesn't show enough of, but is my favourite mechanic so far, is the traversal in the trees. It may sound odd, but to anybody who knows the scene in "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" where Caesar is running through the house in a single flow, it feels a lot like that.
Looks good! I'm finally enthousiastic about an AC game after ACII! :)
Look's amazing and wouldn't be surprised if this get's a GOTY award.
Such a negative article with such niggling little complaints. The claim that the game could be "lacklustre" is just outrageous. I just don't see how you couldn't be super excited for this game after the trailer, it looks phenomenal.
The article is about the visuals, because this was our first look at gameplay not dialogue, not storytelling etc Ending with "All in all when looking at the gameplay I don’t see giant mistakes, I see room for improvement. The overall tone and familiar style being introduced to a new setting, leaves me wanting more. Even if the Assassin’s Creed III turns out to be a lacklustre title, it’ll still be a feast for the eyes." is SUPPOSED to mean that we can't say anything about other contents in the game, but from what we have SEEN it looks promising.
