VG247: The Q2 lull is over, financials season is in full swing and E3 2012 is alarmingly close. It’s time to take a look over the major players and see what the year ahead holds, starting with the effervescent EA.
Speaking of racers, both Criterion and EA Black Box are beavering away behind the scenes. The latter’s project is likely to remain under wraps for months to come, but we’ll hear what Criterion has going on pretty soon. It’s been confirmed that we’re going to get a new Need for Speed in calendar Q4, and the obvious assumption is that it’s Hot Pursuit 2. SO THIS MEAN CRITERION STOLE HOTPURSUIT FROM BLACKBOX STUDIO AND NOW BLACKBOX STUDIO MAKING CRAPPY TITLES?? CARBON,UNDERCOVER,PROSTREETS,T HE RUN TYPE TITLES NOW. blackbox studios should be making HOTPURSUIT 3 by now an yet criterion making hotpursuit 2 ...........I seriously hope criterion hotpursuit 2 is NOTHING!! like their Hotpursuit 1 .. did not know if you were playing BURNOUT or HOTPURSUIT all DRIFTING!! CRITERION SHOULD NOT INCORPREATE BURNOUT WITH NEED FOR SPEED THAT ALONE STOP ME FROM BUYING HOTPURSUIT LAST YEAR.
What astounds me is that you've edited this comment once and thought it looks just fine as it is. On topic: of course EA are showing solidity in their line up. I would too if I had a billion dollars behind me to fund studios. What's really impressive is that despite all the money they still feel the need to gut and destroy franchises on a nearly daily basis.
I think that Criterion is working on Most Wanted 2 and Black Box is doing Skate 4. Or Criterior is doing Hot Pursuit 2 and Black Box is doing Most Wanted 2. Lastly it could be that Criterior is making a new Burnout and Black Box is doing Most Wanted 2. I feel that at least two of those titles are in the works right now.
