CheatCC says - It’s been an interesting year, watching Starhawk grow from a spiritual successor to not one but two games named Warhawk (the second of which was a downloadable, multiplayer-only ordeal) into a standalone, boxed triple-A title. Yes, when I first got my hands on an early build at E3 almost a year ago, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the final product. 4.5/5
Thanks for sharing that you cant make up your own mind and you value a score of collected opinions more than your own XD
I'd love to sit here and say "I'm just bad at it," but I have legit gotten to round four about twice and it lasted less than a minute. All the snipers on the ridge with RPG's are ridiculous to kill. It's just an awful experience.
For a game so dynamic with the rts elements, every match pans out the same. 3/4 of the server turtle in their base inside turrets or snipers. 1/4 have the balls to venture out.
Everyone just waste resources spamming the same turrets in the same tiny base, no one pushes forward, or when we do 32/32 buildings are used up and we're sol.
The starhawk cluster bomb is the most OP gun of this game. If you are barely hit by it you die horrible, constantly being bombed by hawks "spawn bombing" gets really old, theres no way to avoid them. It's so easy and accurate to use.
I think some variety in maps and maybe more ground units will make this game shine. I expect a bunch of adjustment patches over the next month.
Although some games are fine, everyone with mics, good mood and awesome opposing team = The multiplayer it's mean't to be.
I'll be picking my copy up today.
Maybe I'm being naive, but I believe that they are sincere.
I'm picking up my copy after work. I'm really looking forward to playing it.
Of course this game needs time, clans will form, people can learn...if a game as good as Starhawk gets wasted because gamers are to dumb to play properly...nah, can't believe that. New mechanics, people first want to fiddle around I guess. And there's a lot to fool around with in this game:)
