Oh, I was thinking it would be like another Ratchet action/adventure franchise but multiplat. Shame.

Insomniac is really going downhill first they announce that generic looking Overstrike game now this...

dark-hollow2261d ago

downhill? did they even release a gameplay video from overstrike to judge it?

GamingManiac2261d ago

Overstrike looks cool, but NYC_Gamer is right, they've been going downhill ever since the started making R3 into a huge disappointment and now this?... Meh...just, Meh...

@GamingManiac.. Resistance 3, disappointing? That had the best campaign! And was one of the best games last year.

Knushwood Butt2260d ago

Too true.

I have no urge to support them any more.

R3 was a big let down. Sure, the campaign was good for about 2 play throughs, but more than that? Not me. Move and 3D implementation was poor. Story and characters were garbage. Just a journey from A to B with a lame ending. I give them credit for the sudden redneck attack twist, that was a cool idea.

The online co-op had a lot of technical issues, most notably chat cutting out during any loading (of which there is a lot).

The online was a massive disappointment after R2, and did they even support it at all?

Why are they doing this to themselves? They used to be one of the best developers in the industry. Now they are making Facebook games. Just stop it Insomniac. I don't care if they go multiplat as long as the games are good. But, by making Facebook games they are going in the wrong direction. Stick to consoles.

Fishy Fingers2261d ago (Edited 2261d ago )

Stop bitching. They're a huge studio which are working on several confirmed projects, this Facebook game is just one of them, one which probably used, at most, 5% of they're work force.

Facebook can get them more exposure in a week than the console could in a year. It's just a good move for an independent studio. 600m users isn't to be sniffed at.

Sniperwithacause2261d ago

well said sir.
How could making a casual game that has the potential of 600m users playing a bad move. can we say angry birds? draw something?

besides, its their time and money wasted if it floppes.

Am i one of the few on here that loved Res3 sp and enjoy the mp? In my eyes they did a good job on res3 alot better than some of these games out there getting high scores and selling tons. I actually enjoy Res3 mp more than COD nowadays.

TheModernKamikaze2261d ago

It was great but people did not have faith in it which led to poor sales.

Regent_of_the_Mask2261d ago

Looks like ever since Insomniac started making multiplats they've hit rock bottom (much like Ninja Theory).
