Game Rant chats with Sony’s Matt Levitan about the future of the PS Vita, PS Move, ‘The Last Guardian’ and his thoughts on the possibility of a Sony Kickstarter project.
Interesting response to the question about downloadable games, saying they want to do more of it, but that there is value in "having the disk, having the instruction book, something they can give to a friend for the weekend or trade in" The part about loaning to a friend and trading in is what I mean, given all the recent rumors concerning those things not being an option with PS4.
im glad that someone over there is acknowledging this, good to know that its on their minds
Great read. Great ps3 answers in the inter view.... I had a problem with his answer given when asked about worth owning the vita.... ML: I think the third-party support will be there, and certainly internally from our own worldwide studios. We’re very much committed to it. Like buying any of our consoles, you know what you get in the first six months – you have to put some faith and some trust in us that in year 5 or year 8 that you’ll still get some amazing games and that we won’t abandon the system in 3 to 5 years and make you buy something new. Even though I understand what he was trying to say, it comes off that it is REALLY worth owning later in its life, and not as much now. Another small problem I have is when saying they have met expectations with sales. (vita sales) Even though he is prolly telling the truth, if the just meet expectations the system won't make money untile 4-5 years! ( this is according to Sony's own statement. I would rather it exceed expectations!
American media has bloated so many sales figures & stats they made people crazy.
