TVGB: "Be sure you have just a weee bit of patience on Diablo III launch day next week; even when you have the game in your hands, it may take you a few moments before Blizzard actually lets you log in and play the game."
well how about they get their shit together so there is not a error to log in.
When you're stuck in a rush hour traffic jam do you try to find someone or something to blame or do you just accept that the roads are at capacity? I'm sure Blizzard have an immense number of servers to deal with the load, but even that can't stop a delay when millions of players are logging in simultaneously.
The log in delays are going to be a problem because there is no offline play for Diablo III. I expect a lot of people are going to be furious when they discover they can't play the game they purchased.
Well what do you expect, this is probably one of their most anticipated games ever. That being said, if they're talking a 10 minute, maybe less wait to get on and play, that'll be plenty impressive.
when there is road construction in front of me, yes i blame them ! if blizzard knows there is a problem why are they not trying to fix it? answer because it would cost them money to make sure people could log in and play were if they do nothing they rip the benefit of doing nothing! by the way lots of major games launch that have more players like cod and they don't have the same problems.
I didn't have any issues when any of the WoW expansions came out at midnight. I doubt there will be any issue with the midnight release of D3.
They might be surprised... I already have this game pre-installed, and yet i have no interest in playing it. I'll be playing Max Payne. Then, a week later when all the blizzard supporters realize it's not the great game they were hoping for, i'll be able to log in no problem. @below: first, when did i say it's not a good game? second, who says i bought it? i said it's not a the great game ppl are expecting. that doesn't make it bad. and i got it for free from blizzard. what is stupid...jumping to conclusions based on what you think you read rather than what you actually read.
Why did you buy it when you don't think it's a good game? That's stupid.
2 hours after you start playing Max Pain 3 and you realise it's not the great game you were expecting you'll gladly hop in the queue to play Diablo with the rest of us ;)
