I'm still on the fence about this game and I usually buy all rockstar games without hesitation.
It's just ... I don't like bullet time lol.

Have you played the other Max Payne games?

The reason I ask is because if you haven't and you have a ps3 you can buy the first game for $9.99. That way if you don't like it you've only lost ten bucks.

You can get it on ps2 and the pc. I played Max Payne 2 as a primer on my low end Acer laptop and it ran fine. I'm no pc gamer, and it's more than manageable.

Plus, you really should familiarize yourself with the story of the first two games.

now my fellow gamers i have not played any of the max payne games should i A) buy 1 & 2 on ps2 and play them or B) will this have a incase you missed it intro video and give a low down on what happened in 1 & 2 or option C) just play max payne 3 and just see if i can pick up the storyline

A. You have to play them man, there both great. the story is so well done with the comic look. you can finish the first one in a few days and the second one in the day. thats the only problem of the second one its way to short. you will not regret it. yoou can get them both for cheap now

I recall that The second game had a short recap of the first game, but I'm not sure if they will do the same for Max Payne 3. They might, but I'm not sure.

Another option is, if you have a decent PC, get them on Steam for cheap, then play Max Payne 3 after that. Perhaps during the Summer Steam sale they will be on sale. Otherwise, you can get it on PSN, or even get Max Payne 1 on iOS, you know, if you're into the touchscreen controls...

Small note about PC though, if you play Max Payne 1 on PC, their is problems with the sound, but there's a patch available to fix it.

Just checked Steam, they have a bundle of both games for 15 dollars. Pretty good deal.
