Game Informer: During its investor call this afternoon, EA said the Dead Space franchise will see a new release during the publisher's 2013 fiscal year.
(Dead Space, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
After the first game came out there was so much for my brain to absorb that my friends and I talked about different scenarios that could happen for weeks. After 2 came out, I wasn't really sure where the series was going to go, and although I like that, I'm kinda scared they won't make it have as much of an epic ending as they should.
The logs in both games always contain this feeling of events on a grand scale, and yet both games deal with limited space. In DS3 they really should show a fleet of infected ships, drifting through space on their way to other colonized planets. I really love the series, but the story needs to grow!
I agree. It's one of the best new franchises released this gen and is also one of the best stories.
I think the events in DS2 show that the story is growing. I don't want to give any spoilers away but in DS2 we saw a larger range of Unitologist and their grand scheme of things keeping Issac in a state of memory loss for 3 years. A whole colony of Unitologist's creating a marker.
I think the next step is the one in which you are stating. It only seems fitting.
1) first introduced to the marker and have it take place primarily on a contained ship, the Ishimura. 2) have the next setting take place on a colony over a duration of several years filled with Unitologist's 3) next installment will be interplanetary where Unitology is the religion accepted across the universe with some very high, key military and political leaders at the helm.
I can't wait for Dead Space 3. Easily my most anticipated game for 2013.
Dead Space and Mass Effect are two NEW franchises that stood out this Gen.
Can't wait to see if we'll get a mode harder than Hard Core mode. :)
Was leaked last month. Hope the rumor is true.
