Why Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the FPS to beat this year
Another year, another Call of Duty on the horizon. However, PSU.com believes this year's entry will not only be the best yet, but potentially the FPS to beat for the foreseeable future.
(Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
If it has any of these things, it'll be as sucky as the last ones: Death Streaks, high advantage view point killstreaks, any perks that increase bullet damage or your health.
This guy knows what's up. But we can't forget MoH, Dust 514 and Borderlands 2. If you're an FPS fan, this fall has so much content for you. Gamers win in the end!
Omg people disagreed with you, come on people what's there to beat cod has been milked to death it hasn't done anything new since cod4 so there isn't anything to beat. And no it doesn't count that they put it in a new time line that doesn't change anything. In terms of sales nothing will stop it until next generation , then people will really see how boring it is because they wont innovate when they need to
Smh lames with these COD articles plz take that old engine regurgitated bs elsewhere. I wont buy another COD game unless they pay me too until they get a new engine and actually try to evolve their game in other ways besides just killstreaks. And the elite service lol smh they can keep that bs.
Bioshock infinite will beat it. I'm pretty sure halo 4 will be awesome also. If Respawn announces a game at E3 it'll definitely shut down the call of duty hype. Not to say blops2 won't be successful, there will be better FPSs to play this fall.
If you knew you could release the same game year after year and LARGE amounts of people still buy it, there is absolutely no reason to make it any better then it already is.
The pc version does not make anything close to what would be needed to justify DX11. On release you see like 2 million concurrent players on 360 COD. On pc see like 50k.
I'd love to see COD do tons of new things like a new engine and every game on dedicated servers including consoles. But when you run the company making the games like a business, your in it for the money and all the money you can get out of it.
I agree, and if I was in Acti's position, i'd do the same thing. Also, they don't even have to pay for marketing; the video game journalists do all the talking and promoting, they all clamor to post the latest details on it all the time.
For a game franchise that gets a lot of hate, it also gets a lot of money. And it's not Acti's fault, it's the people that buy it.
This. Probably the only FPS I'll get this year, though Bioshock looks great. There's also Borderlands 2 to consider.
Sure, CoD will probably sell the most, but there is a difference between being the best and selling the most, and it's become rare that the two things coincide this generation.
!
I said good day.
1.Dedi servers
2.Beta
I'd be willing to place a bet that there's only dedicated servers for PC players though.
you;d think from making million upon millions they could make a new game engine and atleast add DX11 to the pc verson.
Guess bobby kotick needs the millions more then we need updated graphics :/
