Starhawk is the spiritual successor to 2007's chaotic, multiplayer-driven Warhawk. This update adds real-time strategy elements, a single player campaign and its own version of horde mode. With these new additions, the third person action game takes on an even more unique identity all its own. RTS elements add layers of depth and the multiple game modes provide plenty of variety. The short single-player campaign will get you started and the complex gameplay mechanics of the various multiplayer modes will keep you coming back to perfect your tactics. 8/10

It seems the campaign is indeed more of a prep for the MP, that will bring the overall scores down a notch..

Either way I have been waiting over a year for this game and I can't wait one more second!!!!

Too bad. I was hoping for some more effort than an extended tutorial for the single player campaign. I am also not a fan of the hand drawn cut scenes. I wish we could bury them, along with FMV (Twisted Metal anyone). Use your in game engine and assets.

Beta was a blast, and seeing as how they STILL support Warhawk all these years later I would say it is a solid title.

Love this game but hated warhawk lol, I put warhawk in yesterday and still don't c how ppl love this ewwwww so generic but Starhawk ROCKZ!

Good review. The multiplayer part reads like a nine, that's where the meat is.

Maybe if you explained your reasons for not liking one over the other I could see the point your making.

I actually preferred Warhawk, mostly to do with its setting and how the environments looked, but the core gameplay has been expanded on well enough so I'm sure I'll still get it when it shows up.

Honestly im buying Starhawk mostly for mp and thats solid fun so if the sp lowered the score thats ok. Either way anything over a 7.5 imo is good and it got an 8.

love the mom and pop stores already picked up my starhawk grrrr too bad i have to work till 9 but w.e ill be on starhawk by 10 getting my mp points!!!!!!
