There’s a reason why so many developers feels iOS users are more valuable than Android: Apple is killing it in mobile gaming with 84 percent of all mobile gaming revenue in the US.
I own both iOS and Android devices. Several actually.
Its the user experience.
The iOS experience is like getting a digital blow *** from a beautiful woman.
The Android user experience is like riding down a bumpy road in an old car.
Fragmentation is the problem for Android. A lot of game developers don't like it. Google keep coming out newer versions of android like every 6-8. Phone manufacturers and carriers taking their dear sweet time supplying updates. Its only going to get worse as time goes on. Anyone planning on trying android don't let it be on a LG device you will have to wait forever to get a update. Android=variety iOS/Apple=stability
It's not just software. All the different hardware on the market makes it a mess for compatibility.
It's not just the numbers that count. It's quality. So it's easy to see why Apple has better numbers.
As already mentioned, the quality is so palpable with iOS. I owned a Galaxy S2 and now I own an iPhone 4S and the difference in just how applications and games feel and run is very noticeable. For instance, fruit ninja is one good example. Quite choppy and laggy on the Android version, but as smooth as butter on the iOS version.
That's because they don't support Android that much.
