While I do think the game is good and it's genuinely nice to see a true JRPG among most of the shit that classifies as gaming nowadays, I think the scores this game has been getting have been a bit...inflated as a result. The game is far from perfect and has issues here and there, yet I've seen a LOT of 'perfect' or near perfect scores and they all seem to credit the game for being a reminder that JRPG's exist and perhaps the last of it's kind etc. That's all well and good, and I agree completely, but I think the sheer refreshing factor this game has on the genre has lead it to receive a much better critical reception than it perhaps deserves. I don't know... the game IS good, don't get me wrong - I just don't agree with all these perfect scores going around like it's the next coming of Christ.

i think its an 8, Tales of Graces is better IMOO, the story in Xenoblade is better but the Gameplay in Graces is much better

Yeah, definitely a great game and the actual scores don't bother me really, but a great many of these reviews don't even seem to ACKNOWLEDGE that there are problems with the game.

I don't think the scores are inflated as it is. Its not like Skyrim which is broken or ME3 which deceived the fanbase and has a ludicrous ending and still pull perfect scores despite its many flaws.

Its a score, its useless, take it or leave it.
