Here is a magical thing though......they are video games they are not ment to be realistic. Who actually things sprinting is infinite or if you get shot all you need to do is hide for 5 seconds and the wound is magically gone. Games would be boring if they didn't have fiction in them. If we are going by this list why not list dying dose not mean you will come back 3 seconds later?

if a 'realistic shooter' was really realistic, you would get shot once, get put in a war hospital for 6 months, and then be sent home..
Amazingmrbrock  +   930d ago
That sounds like a terrible game.

"What are you doing there?"

"I got shot so I have to watch this dude lay in the hospital on morphine for six months."

"Thats riveting. Does he go through withdrawls?"
Letros  +   930d ago
There's a withdrawal minigame, possibly some quick time events to inject yourself.

Ummmm..... Drake never took down a hundred people at once. The most Drake ever took down at once was probably about 12 or 15 people per event and in between he had plenty of time to rest during plane rides and hotel stays. And of course climbing isn't easy but the people who are usually portrayed doing it are very good at doing it assassins, parkour experts, mountain climbers, adventurers and even then they still are instances where they fall to their doom in the game. That is why you die, because it isn't easy.

good article, i think games are good at hiding the truths because they have to create immersion

Half life 3? :P

Kinda boring article. It's all common sense stuff.
sprinterboy  +   930d ago
Agree hicken.every game I buy I am 99.9% sure you wont be able to shoot fuel tanks on vehicals etc. Developers put most things in on the list for gameplay mechanics purposes. Would love more developers to use the reload feature more though where u lose your ammo when u reload. it would add realism without losing gameplay/fun.

Climbing is easy... Ezio wasn't born with that ability. It took him years of work. So i think that shouldn't be in here.
stecarter91  +   930d ago
Impossible to climb as frequently and for as long as he does though
megacowdung  +   930d ago
Bro I do parkour and i play soccer so i am physically fit. I assure you i could climb almost as long as ezio could, if i wasn't too scared of heights :P
megacowdung  +   930d ago
When you're doing parkour, you're not using your biceps and shoulders to lift you up. You're supposed to run and use your velocity to carry your body up. Your arms are there to help you out a little.
