I remember Blizzard saying that nearly everything can be sold, so isn't the AH gonna be full of crap with people thinking they can make a quick buck or two?
Crap probably won't sell after a few months, though, because people who are willing to spend a buttload of money are probably going to be looking on eBay to get fully loaded accounts for discounted prices instead of buying mats and moderate level items.
Im really not wild about this Real money auction house.
I was really excited when they announced the Gold Auction house, I feel that would have fit diablo perfectly, but now everybody and their mother thinks they are going to make a million dollars off the RMAH that all the good gear is going to skip the Gold AH and end Up on the RMAH.
Which means, my Gold is now, once again, useless (Sigh). I either have to sell gold for Money, or Find items and sell them on the RMAH, Since there is no way in HELL im spending my real money on virtural items.
I just feel the game would have been PERFECT, if they just stuck with the Gold AH.
Give people the option to buy gold with money if they like, if they wan't to cheat I don't care. I just feel im being forced to use the Real money AH, when I don't wan't to. But for progressions sake, im forced to.
But it can work in your favour. If things do sell for £1 or upto £5, then you could find a very, very rare item. You decide "I'll RMAH this this then" and you put it on and it sells. Thats £4 on your blizzard account. You can then use that buy stuff from the AH at no loss on money, cause you're earning money from the AH anyway.
But then again, this all depends on how people use it as well. Some gamers will steer clear of it. Some will abuse it. Some will buy rare stuff from the Gold AH to put on the real AH. But we'll see in just over a week.

I know the game isnt out yet, but I have a bad feeling that everything usefull will just end up being sold for real money instead of gold. they might as well nix the Gold AH =(
I do but I also see where Blizzard is coming from also. Unfortunately I can't make a sound decision on the RMAH until after the game releases and watching how everything pans out.
Yeah the extra 15% just to transfer it to your paypal account is kind of ridiculous. I could understand maybe 5% to cover paypal's and blizzard's cost of moving the money, but 15% give me a break....

PvP is going to suck if you're not loaded and you've got more money than neurons.
