While there are a couple hours of gory entertainment to be had, the overall experience of this WWII sniping title fails to be engaging.
another good review. you hit the nail on the head on everything you said.
i dont agree with the review, the opinion about the game can vary on how exactly you play it and behave in it, playing it like a gears of war type action game will make it average, BUT play it like a real sniper should behave, be a ghost....and the game will be AWESOME. 5.5/10 is bullshit
1/10 is crap, 5/10 is ok, 10/10 is amazing. the game is just above ok. nothing special. i think its a good game just has its bad points. i know how its supposed to be played, i clocked it on sniper elite difficulty and still found you don't have to be a ghost to succeed. take away the x-ray kills and slow-mo and it is just a game of aim and shoot. the enemy are stupid and the enemy snipers have the worst aim ever. i wanted to be 1 shot killed if i got caught by a sniper. if i catch them there dead but if i get caught i can just lay there and kill them. 90% of the scenery wasn't penatrable, even when i had 4 snipers trying to hit me not one of them highly trained marksmen could touch me through a wooden table. also not offering a jump button meant i could only hide in the routes the game wanted me to hide. good game but could of been better. oh well only £27 spent. im sure VS mode will be cool when i get back on it.
