A collection of The Game Fanatics' top 5 saddest moments in video games. Games mentioned include Dark Souls, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 3 and 2, Halo: Reach, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Most of the endings in heavy rain :C
What a thrill With darkness and silence through the night What a thrill I'm searching and i'll melt into you What a fear in my heart But you're so supreme!
Yakuza 3 Rikiya's death, it even made the legendary fourth chairman of the Tojo Clan cry. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Reach? Really? Don't get me wrong; I liked Reach. But having one of the saddest gaming moments?
I didn't find any of those games to be sad at all. Fail list.
Parrot: Hal....Hal? Hal...I miss you.....
Final Fantasy X should be on that list.
No Mother 3?
inFamous 2......zeke and cole, if you know what i mean.
I really wanted to add that one in there, but it was a collective decision on all of our parts. Final Fantasy 7 was also one that should have probably been in there. :/
at least you considered it....man one of those 'decisions' in the game made me feel guilty and really sad....nearly teared up :C
Yeah agreed that was really sad... although not really from a game, the ending of Assassins Creed Embers made me shed manly tears. "PLAYS SALVATION OF FORLI" "When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore." Man tears were shed http://www.youtube.com/watc...
damn it man, why you gotta make a man cry again :C
RDR definitely I cried, I was like wha?
My reaction was thinking "well that was stupid". It was just handled badly, I was expecting him to die, but I expected him to go down fighting.
Do you remember the ending even? As you send your family out you push open the doors, use dead eye and take as many out as you can before you are shot down It was a unique way of killing of a character
I never used dead eye in the game as I thought it was stupid. He was trying to hold them off as long as possible so as to give his family enough time to get away. Walking out in front of a couple dozen guys with guns aimed at your head is a sure way to end the fight quickly, with or without dead eye. And that's why it was dumb, he essentially gave up and didn't do all he could for his family.
Why would anyone be surprised at Mordin's death, I knew it was coming as soon as we found out about the sabotage. I thought it extremely well done though.
