God of War Ascension’s director talks 3D, bots and collector’s edition
God of War Ascension’s director, Todd Papy talks a little bit on the possibilities of multiplayer bots and collector’s edition as well as provides a few small tidbits on the stereoscopic 3D effects in the game.

Possible items in GOW Ascension CE I hope there will be a collector's edition. I sprung for the GOW 3 collector's edition with pandora's box, and it was pretty cool. Me being a teacher, when I cover Greek Mythology, I bring in Pandora's box and my students love it. To top the collector's edition for 3, I would include the 4-5 digital comics for the GOW series that deal with Kratos early life. I would have maybe a Kratos replica face, in the line of the Master Chief helmet. That would be cool, or a kick ass Kratos Statue like the Marcus Fenix one in the Gears of War 3 ultimate edition. What do you guys think?
What I think? How about including the first paid DLC pack(something you can actually play) in the box for people who spring for the Collector's Edition?

No one, but I think some free DLC should be included ALONGSIDE statues/collectibles etc. When I bought the Helghast Edition of Killzone 3, not only did I get the figurine and Helmet, but I also got the Retro Map Pack.

Bots for this kind of multiplayer wouldnt make sense. But, I still wish they would have added a co-op side story mode. The possible gameplay mechanics that I was picturing for a mode like that would have been awesome.

speak for yourself. art book can be awesome for this type of game with a heavy mythology scene.I absolutely loved the art books in both demon and dark souls
Artbooks are awesome. I personally have the artbooks from Killzone 3, ACR, ACB, Deus Ex, Skyrim and ME3 from the Collectors Edition and they're amazing. I prefer an artbook to a soundtrack (normally it's only half a dozen of tracks, not the full package) or a documentary (no one really watches that, besides, you can later watch that on youtube).
For me the ideal collectors edition contains a figure, artbook, DLC (exclusive extras and missions) and other extra (t-shirt, poster or something like that) and a special game case (either steelbook or something like the journal from Uncharted 3).

You should be getting COLLECTIBLE items in the COLLECTOR'S edition. Not DLC that everyone can purchase.

Ummm...what does that have to do with anything? You think the first multiplayer centric GOW game won't have DLC?

How is this even a question with anticipated titles these days? We all know they are gonna milk us for everything we got if they can.
More so, why would you want one? Seriously I have gotten a few collectors edition games in my days. Never again.
Abut 6 months down the line you consider the stuff you got with it to be no better than some toys from a kids meal....
