With the Avengers movie storming into cinemas as we speak, many gamers may wonder why a video game tie-in hasn't appeared for this anticipated ensemble film. Surely they're the perfect fit? I would testify against that- follow the link to find out why...
EA Motive's Iron Man game will feature writing from Ryan North, the Canadian author behind The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
wtf? He has also written in a ton of Marvel comic books, and you quote Squirrel Girl? Click bait at its best.
Motive Studio, which released this year's Dead Space remake, announced this Iron Man game in September of last year.
Wow.. Where have I been to completely miss this.. haha
Glad to see EA Motive getting more responsibility after the good work they seemed to have done with the Dead Space remake. A well-done Iron Man game has the potential to be REALLY good fun!
EA Motive choosing to release its upcoming Iron Man game before the Dead Space 2 Remake is a wise decision for the developer's future.
Yeah that would be a horrible Idea o make this game. I think that if rocksteady is given the title and they dont have to follow the movie then maybe it can work
Oh by all means, if we could get a game given the time and quality developer then it might be a less futile endeavour, but within the current market for release day tie-ins where devs get often barely a year to churn out these blatant cash-grabs, that is just looking less and less likely. If an Avengers game could be given that kind of dedication, I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but overall it's sadly looking pretty unlikely.
2012 seems to have been a bit of a shadowy spot for superhero games too- whereas last year we got the sensational Marvel VS Capcom 3 and the stunning Arkham City, this year we get...The Amazing Spider-Man, Prototype 2 and LEGO Batman 2. Ah. Considering one of those isn't even a 'licensed' game, the likelihood of those even coming close to upholding the genre this year is pretty slim. Sad times.
Well most movie to game adaptions end up to be disapointing.
It CAN work. Just not in the format of a movie game. Not likely, anyway.
marvel ultimate alliance....
